About this tour
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
• Arrive at Kigali International Airport.
• Meet your guide and transfer to your accommodation near Volcanoes National Park (approximately 2-3 hours).
• Enjoy dinner and relax, preparing for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
• Early morning breakfast.
• Transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and guidelines. Embark on a thrilling gorilla trekking adventure in the dense forest of Volcanoes National Park.
• After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking - Departure
• Golden Monkey Trekking
• After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for golden monkey trekking.
• After the activity, return to the lodge for lunch and check-out.
• Transfer back to Kigali (approximately 2-3 hours).
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Kigali International Airport, Kigali, Rwanda to Mountain Gorilla View Lodge, Ruhengeri, Rwanda
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda- Drive to Ruhengeri Upon arrival, you will drive to Musanze in the northwest part of Rwanda, the main base town for Gorilla tracking. The drive is through beautiful rolling hills on a comfortable paved road and is approximately 2.5 hours from Kigali. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain Gorilla view Lodge
Day 2: Ruhengeri, Rwanda to Kinigi Sector Head Office, Kinigi, Rwanda
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park After morning breakfast at the lodge, the driver guide will take you to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations. Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park is a unique experience. After the briefing, the senior experienced park rangers will lead you deep into the volcanoes baboon vegetation cover in search for the Mountain Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances as they go about their daily activities (Feeding and Praying with the young ones). Once you meet the gorillas, you will spend one hour watching the apes and you may spot other primates in Volcanoes national park during the visit. Return to the lodge refresh and have lunch. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 3: Ruhengeri, Kigali, Rwanda to Kigali International Airport, Kigali, Rwanda
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking - Departure You will have breakfast and then drive to the park headquarters for golden monkey tracking. During this activity, you may also spot other primates in the forest. You will drive back to the hotel for lunch and then proceed to Kigali.

This tour can be customized. Please get in touch with me. January, February, March, April, November and December are wet months. the rest of the months are dry and advisable to travel then.
