Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati, India to City Center, Guwahati, India
Morning arrival at Guwahati Airport/Station transfer to Hotel. Full-day Guwahati Local Sightseeing Tour Duration: 8 hours Tour by Private Cab (not shared with others) Places Covered: Kamakhya Temple, Ganesh temple, Tirupati Balaji temple, and the Basistha temple. Over Night stay at Guwahati.
Day 2: Guwahati, India to Kaziranga National Park, India
Morning transfer to Kaziranga National Park. Half day rest. Evening visit Local Market and Visit Local Cultural Program. Over Night stay at Kaziranga Hotel.
Day 3: Kaziranga National Park, India to Shillong, India
Morning Before Breakfast visit Elephant Safari (6 am) and after Breakfast visit Jeep Safari (9 am) and Transfer to Shillong. On the way, drop by Barapani Lake, the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya. Also known as Umiam Lake, it is beautifully surrounded by Sylvan hills. On reaching Shillong, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day leisurely. Later, have your dinner and retire for the night.
Day 4: Shillong, India
You will visit Cherrapunji. So, in the morning, after breakfast, begin the excursion towards Cherrapunji. You will be able to explore various waterfalls, limestone caves, striking root bridges, and other natural sites to enjoy several fun-filled activities. Visit the Spectacular Seven Sisters Falls, the Mawsmai Cave, and the Thangkharang Park. In the evening, return to Shillong. Your Shillong tour package for the family includes a stopover en route at Elephanta Falls and the famous Shillong Peak, which allows a great view. After your Shillong to Cherrapunji sightseeing tour, return to the hotel at Shillong overnight
Day 5: Shillong, India
Next, proceed for a visit to Dawki, 34 km from Mawlynnong Village. The small border town in the Jaintia Hills is known for the picturesque Umngot River, a must-visit site in Meghalaya. Enjoy the scenic beauty and a boat ride in the crystal clear waters where you can feel like you are floating in the air as the water is so clear. Explore the nearby sights too. After sightseeing, return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 6: Shillong, India to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati, India
Post breakfast, head for the excursion trip to Shillong. First, visit a Japanese-style Lady Hydari Park decorated with roses and flowers in an extensive stretch.Zoo, Don Bosco Museum, Catholic Church, Ward’s Lake, you'll travel from Shillong to Guwahati. Dropping Guwahati Airport or Guwahati Station.
