A journey filled with the stunning night view of Ashgabat, the historical Ahal-Teke horses, the monuments that symbolize Turkmenistan, modern shopping centers, the unquenchable fire of Darvaza, also known as the Gates of Hell, and the historical traces of Ancient Merv.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ashgabat International Airport, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Arrival to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. You will be greeted by your driver at Ashgabat International Airport - Meet and greet your local tour guide at the Ashgabat International Airport. Transfer to your hotel. Enjoy city tour of Ashgabat and visit the National Museum of Turkmenistan, and the Parthian Fortresses of Nisa. Then, visit the Berkarar shopping center. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
This morning, you will start with a visit to the Monument of Neutrality. Visit the National Turkmen Carpet Museum of Turkmenistan, the Alem Indoor Ferris Wheel, and the “ Halk Hakydasy ” memorial complex. At the end of the day, enjoy the night view of Ashgabat city. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Ahal, Turkmenistan
Start your morning visit to the Gypjak Memorial Complex. Drive to horse ranch in Gokdepe. Enjoy riding Ahal-Teke horses. Then, visit the Kow-ata (underground lake, cave, Kopetdag mountains). Return to Ashgabat. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Door to Hell, Derweze, Turkmenistan
Visit the “White City Ashgabat” Park . Then, drive to Darvaza, visiting Yerbent village en route. Arrive at Darvaza (Gates of Hell), and explore the surrounding craters of Gas, Water, and Mud. Overnight at a nomadic yurt camping.
Day 5: Door to Hell, Derweze, Turkmenistan to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Return to Ashgabat. Start your city tour: visit the Wedding Palace, the Monument of the Constitution, and the Monument of Indepence. At the end of the day, visit Arkach shopping center. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Ancient Alexandria Margiana (Erk Kala), Merv, Turkmenistan
Drive to Mary & Bayramaly. Arrival in Mary & Bayramaly. Transfer to your hotel. After a short rest, start visiting Ancient Merv. Enjoy exploring the ancient sites of Merv.
Day 7: Mary, Turkmenistan to Ashgabat International Airport, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Return to Ashgabat , Transfer to Ashgabat International Airport for your departure flight. End of the tour.
