Indrahar Pass is a mountain pass in the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas in Dharamshala. The trekking trail starts from Galu Devi temple above Dharamkot village near Dharamsala and passes through the camping ground of Triundshala. Here you can see the beauty and greenery of nature.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Delhi Airport, New Delhi, India to Delhi, India
Assistance upon your arrival at Delhi airport by our company representative and he will transfer you to the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi, India to Chandigarh, India
This morning after delicious breakfast you will drive to Chandigarh. Chandigarh is the first planned city in India and this city is very beautiful. Upon arrival in Chandigarh, you will transfer to the hotel. Afternoon you will visit Rock Garden, Rose Garden, and Sukhna Lake.
Day 3: Chandigarh, India to Dharamshala, India
This morning after breakfast you will drive to Dharamshala which is known as the home of Dalai Lama. Upon arrival at Mcleodganj you will check-in at the hotel. Evening you will explore the Mcleodganj market and enjoy the ambiance of this beautiful hill station.
Day 4: Dharamshala, India
Today you will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Dharamshala and McLeodganj. You will visit Dal Lake, War Memorial St George Church, Bhagsunag, Temple, etc. Evening explores the local market and enjoys the local cuisine of this place and you will prepare for the next day trekking.
Day 5: Dharamshala, India to Triund, Dharamshala, India
This is the first day of your trekking. You will transfer by car to the trekking point from where your trekking will start. You will be passing through the Deodar forests and then you will reach the Triund. The height of Triund from sea level is 2842 meters. There is Triund Mahadev Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. From the top of the hill, you will able to see the beauty around this place. And you will get the opportunity to see nature very close.
Day 6: Triund, Dharamshala, India to Lahesh Cave, Dharamshala, India
This morning after breakfast, you will trek to the Lahesh Caves, which is 3465 meters above from sea level. You will trek approximately 9-10 km from Triund to Lahesh Caves. During the trekking, you will enjoy and pass through Deodar forests. Today, the trekking route is easy because you will not face much climbing on the route.
Day 7: Lahesh Cave, Dharamshala, India to Chhatru, India
Today, the morning after breakfast, you will start to climbing Indra Haar Pass which is 3700 meter above from sea level. The trek of this day will be more challenging for you because you will climb the steep path along the rocky path. Once you will reach the peak of Indrahar Pass then you will see the panoramic view of Pir Panjal and Mount Kailash of Manimahesh. Later you will descend to the other side of the mountain range and gradually trek to the rural beautiful village of Chatru Parao.
Day 8: Chhatru, India to Kuarsi, India
This morning after breakfast you will gradually start your trek to base camp (2730 meter above from the sea level) and reach Kuarsi village. This is the village of Gaddi shepherd people. The occupations of the Gaddi mainly is shepherding. In the evening you will spend your time in this beautiful village and see the living of shepherds village people.
Day 9: Kuarsi, India to Chamba, India
Today you will leave towards Machetar village. In this trekking, you will pass through the corridors of the mountain ranges of Pir Panjal and Manimahesh and you will enter Machetar Village, from this village you will enter Chamba by road and where you will check-in at the guest house.
Day 10: Chamba, India to Delhi, India
This morning you will drive back to Delhi. Due to the long drive, you will reach Delhi late evening. there you will check yourself in the hotel and after trekking, you will have a blissful sleep.
Day 11: Delhi, India to Delhi Airport, New Delhi, India
This morning you will transfer to the Delhi international airport to board the flight back home.
