Your journey begins with a morning departure from Bishkek, with a quick city drive-through and breakfast at a local cafΓ©. The first stop is the historic Burana Tower, where youβll explore the 11th-century minaret, visit a small museum, and see ancient stone carvings known as balbals. Continuing on, you'll visit the Kok-Moinok Canyons for a light hike and photo break among unique red rock formations. By late afternoon, you'll arrive at Son-Kol Lake, a high-altitude pasture surrounded by mountains, where youβll settle into a traditional yurt camp. The day ends with a homemade dinner and the option to enjoy a peaceful lakeside walk or watch the sunset over the valley.
After breakfast at the yurt camp, youβll depart from the peaceful shores of Son-Kol Lake, driving through scenic mountain passes as you make your way down toward Issyk-Kul. In the afternoon, youβll explore Skazka Canyon, also known as Fairy Tale Canyon, famous for its colorful, wind-carved sandstone formations resembling castles and creatures. After a short walk and photo break, the tour continues along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake to reach the Barskoon area. Here, you'll take a light hike to visit the Barskoon Waterfalls, surrounded by forested trails and panoramic views. Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged nearby.
The day starts with breakfast near Barskoon, followed by a relaxed morning hike to take in the waterfalls one last time. From there, the journey continues to Jeti-Oguz Canyon, where you'll stop to see the famous βSeven Bullsβ rock formations and take in the views of the dramatic red cliffs. After some time exploring the area and snapping photos, youβll head to Karakol City. Upon arrival, enjoy a brief city walk to see local landmarks and take a cable car ride offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lake. Overnight stay in Karakol.
After breakfast in Karakol, youβll head out for a scenic off-road journey to the alpine valley of Altin Arashan. Surrounded by pine forests and snow-capped peaks, this remote area is known for its natural hot springs and mountain views. You'll have time to relax in the hot springs, enjoy a light hike or picnic in the valley, and take in the fresh mountain air. In the late afternoon, return to Karakol for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, youβll leave Altin Arashan and travel along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, stopping first at Semyonov Gorge for a short walk through forested trails, with optional horseback riding. The next stop is Kyrchyn Gorge, a wide open valley known for hosting traditional nomadic festivals. From there, youβll continue to Grigorievsky Gorge, where you can enjoy scenic mountain views and a relaxed picnic. The day ends in Cholpon-Ata, where youβll visit ancient petroglyphs, explore local museums, unwind at the beach, or soak in the nearby hot springs. Overnight stay in Cholpon-Ata.
After breakfast in Cholpon-Ata, you'll begin the return journey to Bishkek along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, with optional stops for photos or local snacks along the way. Arrival in Bishkek is expected in the afternoon, where youβll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of the tour.
