About this tour
Kalash Valleys is consists of 4 valleys i.e. Bomborate, Rumboor, Barir, Ayun. Explored and famous among domestic and foreign tourists are Bomborate and Rumboor. Actually, Kalash is the religion of a community living in Kalash Valleys, their unique culture, tradition, and dressing are exceptional. The Muslim community is also living in Kalash Valleys.
The women of community Kalasha use to dress their traditional every time, even school kids dress the traditional while schooling. Although Muslims and Kalasha’s are living together in Kalash valleys.
Kalash Valleys are located in Distt Chitral, in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Pakistan.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Islamabad International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan to Islamabad, Pakistan
Pickup from Islamabad International Airport and Transfer to our designated hotel in Islamabad.
Day 2: Islamabad, Pakistan to Chitrāl, Pakistan
After breakfast, travel to swat by motorway. Lunch break at Chakdara –Swat. After lunch will move towards Chitral through Dir Upper and will cross Lower Tunnels. Overnight stay at Chitral in Pamir River Side Guest House.
Day 3: Chitrāl, Pakistan to Kalash, Chitrāl, Pakistan
After breakfast at Guest House, will move to explore the City of Chitral. Visit Chitral Fort and Shahi Mosque, Polo Ground in Center Chitral. After Lunch will move towards Kalasha Valleys. Overnight stay at PTDC / Alexander Hotel – Bomborate –Kalash.
Day 4: Bumburet, Chitrāl, Pakistan to Rumbur, Chitrāl, Pakistan
where people still have culture, customs, and traditions. Which are very unique from the other World’s culture, customs, and traditions. The people of Kalasha set out to their fields (Mostly Wheat Fields) after sunrise and working fields. You will see all their homes locked or empty at day time. We will visit their traditional homes with a local guide. Take pictures with locals and their homes. Visit the old and historical graveyards of Kalasha Community, which have a very interesting history behind them. After lunch we will move towards Rumbor- Take 1 hour to reach Rumboor from Bomborate. Local experience in Rumboor, Visit their homes, pictures with Kalashas, Visit their Temples, and Celebration Hall. Overnight stay at Kalash Home Guest House in Rumbur.
Day 5: Rumbur, Chitrāl, Pakistan
Local Experience. After breakfast, set out to wander around with a local guide. Hitch Hiking to the village on hills. Overnight stay at Kalash Home Guest House.
Day 6: Kalash Valley, Chitrāl, Pakistan to Chitrāl, Pakistan
After breakfast will move back to Chitral, visit a beautiful valley towards Shandur. Overnight stay at Chitral in Pamir River Side Guest House.
Day 7: Chitrāl, Pakistan to Swat, Pakistan
After breakfast will move back to Swat via Lowari Top / Tunnels. Sightseeing’s along the way and pictures at Loweri Tunnel. Overnight stay at Kumrat in our designated Guest House/ Hotel.
Day 8: Swat, Pakistan to Islamabad, Pakistan
After breakfast will move towards Kalam to explore and visit the Valley. Drive back to Islamabad in the evening.
Day 9: Islamabad, Pakistan to Taxila, Pakistan
After breakfast in the hotel, you will be driving towards Taxila which is at this distance of 34.2 km from Islamabad. Visit the famous and mesmerizing remains of Ghandhara and Sirkap. Get back to Islamabad for an Overnight stay.
Day 10: Islamabad, Pakistan to Islamabad International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan
Drop off at Islamabad International Airport. Those who have a flight in the Evening /Night will have Islamabad City Tour.
