About this tour
Karakorum highway (the Modern Silk Route) is a 1300 km highway connecting Pakistan and China, sharing border at High Mountain Pass "Khunjarab Pass" at the altitude of 4,693 m. Along the highway, there are several touristic spots, archeological sites, sacred rocks, old settlements, charming valleys including Hunza, the junction of World's three highest mountain ranges "Karakorum, Himalayas, Hindu Kush", 7000 thousander peaks i.e. Nanga Parbat Peak "also Called Killer Mountain-8126m", Rakaposhi Peak-7788m and several others.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Islamabad International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan to Islamabad, Pakistan
Pickup from Airport and Transfer to Hotel -Islamabad
Day 2: Islamabad, Pakistan to Shangrila Chilas Hotel, Chilās
Breakfast at 6am in staying hotel, will move towards Chillas on 7am through Motorway and Karakorum Highway, The places in way are Mansehra, Abbottabad, Batgram, Besham and etc. till Chillas. Overnight at Chillas in Shangri-La Resort. Lunch at Besham Continental Dinner at Shangri-La Resort
Day 3: Shangrila Chilas Hotel, Chilās to Gahkuch
Breakfast at Hotel in the morning and we will move towards Ghizer and will have lunch at Resham Restaurant -Jaglot. Reach Gahkuch for overnight stay. Visit World’s highest mountain ranges and their junction Nanga Parbat View Point (If weather clear) Junction of Gilgit and Skardu (Indus Rivers) Dinner and Overnight stay at Green Palace Hotel.
Day 4: Gahkuch to Phander Valley
Visit Phander Valley- After Breakfast at Hotel will move towards Phander Valley to Visit Phander Lake, Wander and Leisure, Photography. Visit Gupis Valley, Incredible Landscapes and scenic bridges along the way. Get back to Gilgit for overnight stay. Lunch at Phander Valley. Dinner and Overnight at PTDC Gilgit.
Day 5: Phander Valley to Hunza, Hunza Nagar
Phander to Hunza- After breakfast at Hotel and will move to Hunza Valley. Visit Old Silk Route View Point Short Stop and Lunch on Rakasposhi View Point Visit Baltit fort Dinner at Rainbow Restaurant and Overnight stay at Hunza Continental Palace.
Day 6: Hunza Continental Hotel, Karimabad to Khunjerab Pass
Hunza (Karimabad) to China Border- After Breakfast at Hotel will move towards Khunjarab Pass. Visit Attabad Lake Passu Cones and Lunch at Passu Tourist Lounge. Sost Market i Suspension Bridge Get back to Karimabad for Overnight at Hunza Continental Palace. Dinner at Rewayat Restaurant Ganish Village.
Day 7: Khunjerab Pass to Hunza Continental Hotel, Karimabad
Rest Day- Walking tour around Villages, Meet and Greet Local Community, Wander, Leisure, Fun, and Photography. Hunza Traditional Music and Dinner with Traditional Dishes Overnight stay at Hunza Continental Palace.
Day 8: Hunza Continental Hotel, Karimabad to Hopper Valley, Hunza Nagar
Hooper Valley- After Breakfast will move towards Hooper Valley. Trek to Glacier and get back to Hunza to visit Ganish Village (1000 years old and first settlement of Hunza) Atit Fort (900 years old and considered as World Wonder in 2017) Dukair (The topmost area of Hunza can have the best view of Rakaposhi, Diran, Golden, Ulter, and Lady Finger Peaks-Famously known as Sun Set and Rise View Point as well) Overnight at Dukair. Lunch at Hooper Valley. Dinner at Hunza Hard Rocks-Dukair.
Day 9: Hunza Continental Hotel, Karimabad to Khai, Sumayar
Visit Nagar-Sumayar Valley- Jeep ride to Sumayar after breakfast in Hotel –Nagar Valley. Visit Mamu Har / Sumayar Bar View Point of Diran Peak View of Colorful Hunza from Nagar Lunch at Kamal De Café-Aliabad. Dinner and Overnight in Karimabad- Hunza Continental Palace.
Day 10: Hunza, Hunza Nagar to Shangrila Chilas Hotel, Chilās
Hunza Valley to Chilas- After breakfast at Hotel will move towards Chilas –Visit in the way Gilgit City Famous Market –NLI Bazar Lunch at Jaglot Resham Restaurant. Dinner and Overnight Stay at Shangri-La in Chilas
Day 11: Shangrila Chilas Hotel, Chilās to Islamabad, Pakistan
Chilas to Islamabad- After Breakfast at Hotel will move back to Islamabad. Visit in the way Shatiyal Bazar (An Archeological Site) Lunch at Local Restaurant in Dassu Dinner in Habibi Restaurant I-8 Markaz and Overnight at De Pallazo Hotel in Islamabad
Day 12: Islamabad, Pakistan to Islamabad International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan
slamabad- After Breakfast will explore Islamabad City. Faisal Mosque Pakistan Monument Margallah Hills Lunch at Monal Restaurant in Margalla Hills Dinner in local food street. Drop off at Airport
