Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Dashoguz, Turkmenistan to Door to Hell, Derweze, Turkmenistan
On Turkmenistan side of the border , meet your Turkmen guide and Driver and Transfer to Kunya Urgench (UNESCO) (100km, 2h) Have Lunch at a local cafe and visit mausoleums of Turabek Khanym ,Portal of Caravansaray, II Arslan Mausoleum, Sultan Tekesh Mausoleum, Academy of Horezm, Kutlug Timur Minaret. In the afternoon drive to Darvaza burning Gas Crater (275km, 4-5h) which is one of the top international tourist destinations. The area is rich in natural gas. Burning for more than 50 years, Darvaza Gas Crater shines like a pearl in the middle of the Karakum desert. Besides Darvaza Gas Crater, you will also see water craters. One of the most vivid and addictive features of this trip is the fresh air of the desert and experiencing the nomadic life in person. At night, while the light of the Gas Crater hits the sky, you will camp in the Turkmen national yurt or private tents and barbecue for dinner. Day 2: Derweze, Turkmenistan to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
Picnic style Breakfast at Gas Crater. Drive to Ashgabat the capital city of Turkmenistan You will see the Wedding Palace, modern “Yildyz” Hotel, Constitution Monument, Arch of Neutrality, Monument and Park of Independence, Ertogrul Gazy Mosque in Ashgabat. Horse farm, Akhal-teke Horse stable (ridding opportunity) in traditional style.Overnight in hotel in Ashgabat.
Day 3: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Merv Archaeological Park Administration, Merv, Turkmenistan
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time till noon. From Hotel drive to Mary . In Mary you will have lunch. Then drive to Ancient city of Merv (UNESCO) discover historical park with Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum, Small and Large Gyz Gala, Muhammed ibn Zaid Mauseleum and Some Ruins Keshk fortress etc. Then come back to Ashgabat to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight in hotel in Ashgabat.
Day 4: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan to Ashgabat International Airport, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan
