Located in the Ismayilli region of Azerbaijan, in the intermountain basin of the southern slope of the Greater Caucasus, Lahij village attracts with its preserved historical appearance. There “another world” will open for you, so different from the usual modern cities. It seems as if you make a leap in time five centuries ago. Walking through the old narrow streets, you will plunge into the real world of the Middle Ages with mosques, baths, and paved with river stone-houses in which people live today. Since ancient times Lahij is famous for handicrafts and carpets. On your way, you will encounter a variety of workshops, where the craftsmen will show you a warm welcome.
