Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Tashkent, Uzbekistan to Bukhara, Uzbekistan
Arrival to Tashkent. Transfer to hotel for acc. - Khast Imom Complex including Barak Khan Madrassah, Kaffal Shashi mausoleum, Quran Library & Mosque. - Bazaar Chorsu Transfer to Bukhara by train.Dinner at local restaurant. O/n at hotel.
Day 2: Bukhara, Uzbekistan
Breakfast. - ARK Fortress (VI – XIX c) – in middle ages it was a whole town with the emirs house, with wives, mosques mint place, government institutes, store rooms, a prison and a square for public executions. - Bolo Khous Ensemble Samanid mausoleum (IXc) 1st brick building shaped as cube covered by dome with unrepeatable geometrical brickwork design - Chashma Ayub Mausoleum – the original construction dates from the 12th century rule of Karakhanid Arslan Khan, the earliest surviving dome was raised by Amir Temur in 1380 over the existing tomb chamber. PM. Check in hotel 12:00. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue SS: - Poikalon (XII–XVI c) architectural ensemble of “Masjidi Kalon”, “Miri Arab” madrasah & a minaret (46 m). - Trading Domes consists of three trading centers: Tok-i-Zargaron (1570) – Jeweler’s Bazaar, Tok-i-Tilpak Furushon – Cap Maker’s Bazaar, Tok-i-Sarrafon – Moneychanger’s Bazaar. - Medresse of Ulugbek and Abdulzizkhan - Magoki Attori – in 937 the four-pillared mosque was burn the ground in a city-wide fire and in the 12th century the present mosque was erected, from which the focus of the mosque, the original southern portal remains. - Labi – Hauz (XVI – XVII c) – a complex with Nodir – Devon Begi Madrassah and Khanaka Dinner at local restaurant. O/n at hotel.
Day 3: Bukhara, Uzbekistan to Samarkand, Uzbekistan
3, Bukhara – Samarkand (280 km; 4-4.5 hours driving) AM. Breakfast. Drive to Samarkand at 07:30 Arrival. PM. Lunch at local restaurant. Start SS of Samarkand: - Gur Amir Mausoleum (XV c.) – Timurids dynastic burial vault, unique monument of architecture with blue ribbed tessellated dome. - Registan square (XV–XVII c) official center of Timurs Empire, consist of grandiose Madrassah of Ulugbek, Sher Dor & Tillya Kari. - Bibi Khanum mosque (XIVc), built by Timur to be biggest mosque at time. Architect, craftsmen & painters built it in 5 years. - Siab bazaar (closed on Mon) - Shahi Zinda Mausoleum (XIV – XV c) – “Town of Dead” a complex of more than 20 unique buildings of different ages Dinner at local restaurant. O/n at hotel.
Day 4: Samarkand, Uzbekistan to Tashkent, Uzbekistan
AM. Breakfast. Transfer to Tashkent. Arrival. PM. Lunch at local restaurant. SS of: Museum of Applied Arts - bright carved plaster decorations (ganch) and carved wood the building of museum itself is an attraction. There are also exhibits of ceramics, textiles, jewelry, musical instruments and toys. - Navoi Theatre - from outside. Theatre was started to build by 1940. Japanese prisoners of war completed construction in 1947. - Tashkent metro station - Amir Temur Square – central park with the statue of Amir Temur on the horseback and so called “Broadway”. Dinner at local restaurant. Transfer to airport for departure flight.
