Then people started building stone towers with fireplaces on the top of it. At night there was a light, but at daytime there were lots of smoke. Also, there were fake lighthouses made by pirates not to guide but to trap ships into to riffs and cliffs and then to pillage them. Tokarevsky lighthouse The most famous and the easiest to go to is Tokrevsky lighthouse which situated 9 km away from the center of Vladivostok. This lighthouse is one of the oldest and was built at 1876. Basargina lighthouse Together with Scrypleva lighthouse it creates the entering gate of Vladivostok seaport. It was built in 1937 and originally was made from wood. Scrypleva lighthouse This lighthouse was the first one in Primorsky region. The construction started in July 1876.
