Following our guide's advice, if the weather is good, we'll wake up early, around 2 or 3 AM, to eat breakfast and prepare for our climb to the summit, which is 5587 meters high. While there are some tricky parts to the climb, the main challenges are finding our way and the physical effort. As the day goes on, there might be avalanches in places with fresh snow, so timing is important. We'll spend the night at a tented camp with everything we need, ready for the exciting journey ahead.
This day is set aside as a contingency plan for unexpected situations like bad weather or individual exhaustion. If any difficulties arise, this extra day can be used to address delays or obstacles. We'll stay overnight at a tented camp with all-inclusive amenities, ensuring we're ready for any unforeseen circumstances.
Leaving Base Camp, you'll go down through a high-altitude grazing area called Khorchon, using the same paths back to Kumai. We'll spend the night at a tea house, where you'll have everything you need for a comfortable end to our trip.
Today, you'll go down from Kumai, which might be tough on your knees because you're losing the altitude you gained. You'll follow the same path you took to go up and reach Odane Hill. Before you reach the top, there's a narrow trail that goes left, steeply going down on the eastern side of the ridge. This path leads to lush fields where you'll have a nice lunch break at Hile. Then, the path gets even steeper as you continue down, eventually reaching the busy farming village of Ghachok in the Seti River valley. Tonight, we'll stay at a tea house where you'll have everything you need for a comfy night's sleep.
On the last day, hike to Pokhara, crossing the Seti River. Reach Pokhara in approximately 4-5 hours to have lunch. If there's spare time, explore attractions like Bindabashini Temple, take a boat ride on Phewa Lake to Barahi Temple, visit David Falls, and explore Gupteshwor Cave. Spend the night at a luxury hotel, where breakfast is provided.
Once back in Kathmandu, take some time to explore. You can wander through lively markets to find souvenirs or visit cultural sites and vibrant neighborhoods to experience Nepalese heritage. Kathmandu has something to offer for everyone's leisure interests.
