Muktinath Tour takes you to the small Pagoda-style temple, Muktinath Temple, the popular pilgrimage located in the lap of Thorong La Mountain pass, Mustang district at an altitude of 3710m. Muktinath is derived from two words “Mukti” and “Nath” which means “Salvation or Nirvana” and “God or Master” so it is also known as “Mukti Kshetra” or “Abode of Salvation”. Both Hindus and Buddhists come here to worship the Lord God Vishnu. Hindus call this temple as Mukti Kshetra which means Place of Liberation and Buddhists call it Chumig Gyatsa, which in Tibetan means ‘Hundred Waters’.
Most of the People come here to take a bath in 108 sacred water spouts which are also known as Mukti Dhara. In the front and backyard of Muktinath, you can also see a holy pond named as Mukti Kunda. Flight to Pokhara enables us to know that the tour has begun, reaching where, we will take a flight to Jomsom, the journey towards our main destination; Muktinath.
Early morning, We will take a tourist bus with comfortable seats to Pokhara with the view of river Trishuli,
From the Morning flight today, we depart for Jomsom from Pokhara. It only takes 1 hour to get there. So upon arrival, we head towards Muktinath Temple. Muktinath is a temple of Lord Vishnu where thousands of devotees come to take bath in 108 waterspouts. People believe that taking a bath in these 108 waterspouts will bring salvation in their lives. After we finish visiting Muktinath, we come back to Jomsom and rest at Jomsom.
Today after breakfast, we head back to Pokhara from Jomsom on the early morning jeep to Pokhara, where we can enjoy beautiful nightlife on the lake side in Pokhara.
We will drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara on the tourist Bus with comfortable seats enjoying the river Trishuli.
