Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: bishkek to shabdan village
March 21 Meeting from the hotel. Move towards the village of Shabdan (145 km from Bishkek – 3 hours). This village is known for its cultural values. Upon arrival, get acquainted with the locals, lunch inside the yurt and horseback riding in the surrounding area. The main aspect of this holiday is the preparation of a festive dish – sumolok, which is prepared for about 20 hours from sprouted wheat grains with the addition of flour, nuts and small stones are placed at the bottom of the cauldron, which protects sumolok from burning. While sumolok is being prepared, let's play local games, sing Kyrgyz songs, and dance until morning. If you are tired, you can relax in yurts or guest houses after dinner.
Day 2: shabdan village to bishkek
March 22 After breakfast, we go to the cauldron and open it. According to some beliefs, a drawing appears on the upper surface of the dish, which has a symbolic meaning. After that, we tried the dish, which is prepared for 20 hours, absorbed the wishes of the participants, we traditionally do a prayer and a general photo. Return to the city. End of the tour.
