Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar Arrive in Mongolia’s bustling capital, Ulaanbaatar, where you’ll immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of the city. Explore the iconic Sukhbaatar Square, visit the peaceful Gandantegchinlen Monastery, and enjoy an introduction to Mongolia's nomadic heritage at the National Museum.
Day 2: Ölgii, Mongolia
Day 2: Ulgii to the Altai Mountains Fly to Ulgii, the heart of Mongolia's Kazakh culture. From here, your adventure begins as you drive towards the majestic Altai Mountains. On the way, experience the vast landscapes of the western steppes, dotted with yurts and grazing animals. Arrive at camp in the mountains and breathe in the crisp, fresh air as you prepare for days of trekking.
Day 3: Hoton Nuur, Mongolia to Khoton Lake, Mongolia
Day 3: Trekking or Horse ride to Khurgan Lake Begin your hike towards Khurgan Lake, one of the most pristine and picturesque areas in the Altai. Day 4: Exploring Khoton Lake Today, continue your trek to Khoton Lake, another pristine body of water surrounded by mountains and ancient rock carvings.
