Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Day 1 – Arrival in Tashkent • Morning arrival in Tashkent. Meet your driver holding a THE GREAT CARAVAN sign. • 10:30 – 11:00 Transfer to Navruz Hotel. Early check-in or luggage storage available (upon request). • Meet your guide and tour escort at the hotel for a special Navruz welcome ceremony with exclusive gifts. • 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch at a traditional Uzbek restaurant. • 14:00 – 18:00 Sightseeing tour of Tashkent: • Hazrati Imam Complex (including the Grand Mosque, Mui Muborak Madrasah, and the Center of Islamic Civilization). • Chorsu Bazaar (optional) – one of Central Asia’s most famous markets. • Courage Monument – a tribute to the resilience of Tashkent. • Tashkent TV Tower (optional). • Amir Timur Square, Timur Museum (exterior view), and the Romanov House (exterior view). • Independence Square. • Modern Tashkent: Magic City, Ashkhabad Park, Eco Park, Central Park, and the Ankhor River area. • 18:00 – 20:00 Dinner at Uzbegim Restaurant, followed by an evening stroll in the city center. • 22:00 Return to the hotel and rest.
Day 2: Tashkent, Uzbekistan to soʻqoq, Sukok, Uzbekistan
Day 2 – Mountain Landscapes & National Traditions • 09:00 – 13:00 Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your guide and driver for an out-of-town excursion: • Participate in the traditional preparation of sumalak, a festive dish symbolizing renewal and spring. • Enjoy a scenic walk in Sukok, a picturesque mountain area. • Experience kite flying and horseback riding. • 14:00 – 18:00 Lunch at a national restaurant in the mountains. • Return to Tashkent. • 18:00 – 22:00 Dinner at Plove & Lounge, followed by an evening stroll. • Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Tashkent, Uzbekistan to Samarkand, Uzbekistan
Day 3 – Samarkand: A City of Great History • 07:00 – 11:00 Early breakfast and transfer to the railway station. • Travel to Samarkand on the high-speed Afrosiyob train (arrival at 10:53). • 11:00 Meet your guide and driver for a Samarkand city tour: • Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum – the final resting place of Tamerlane. • Shakhi-Zinda Complex – a sacred necropolis with stunning blue-tiled mausoleums. • Islam Karimov Mausoleum – dedicated to Uzbekistan’s first president. • 13:00 – 15:00 Lunch at a local family home, featuring a Samarkand pilaf masterclass. • Continue the tour with visits to: • Registan Square (Ulugh Beg, Tillya-Kari, and Sher-Dor Madrasahs). • Ulugh Beg Observatory – one of the oldest astronomical observatories. • Bibi-Khanym Mosque & Madrasah – a symbol of Samarkand’s grandeur. • Siab Bazaar (optional) – the city’s vibrant market. • Choose one of the following: • Mausoleum of Saint Daniel – an important pilgrimage site. • Konigil Eco-Village – a traditional paper-making workshop. • Eternal City (Samarkand City) – an open-air cultural complex. • 15:30 – 17:00 Transfer to the railway station with a stop for a tasting of Samarkand’s famous pastries. • Travel to Bukhara by high-speed train. • 20:30 – 22:00 Arrival in Bukhara, meet the driver, transfer to the hotel, and rest.
Day 4: Samarkand, Uzbekistan to Bukhara, Uzbekistan
Day 4 – Enchanting Bukhara • 09:00 – 12:30 Breakfast at the hotel and a walking tour of Bukhara’s old town: • Lyabi-Hauz Ensemble – a historic square surrounded by ancient madrasahs. • Magoki-Attari Mosque (9th century). • Trading Domes & Tim Abdullah Khan – remnants of Bukhara’s Silk Road past. • Ulugh Beg & Abdulaziz Khan Madrasahs. • Poi-Kalyan Complex (Kalyan Minaret, Miri-Arab Madrasah). • 13:30 – 14:00 Lunch at Andara Restaurant. • 15:00 Transfer to the railway station for the high-speed train to Tashkent. • Upon arrival, meet your driver and transfer to Tashkent International Airport for your departure flight.
