About this tour

Northern Mongolia is one of the country’s most remarkable travel destinations, known for its untouched wilderness and rich cultural heritage.

The highlight of the northern provinces is the pristine Lake Khövsgöl, often called Mongolia’s “Blue Pearl.” This stunning alpine region borders the Siberian taiga and features crystal-clear waters surrounded by forested mountains.

Nearby lies the Darkhad Valley, a vast landscape of over 200 lakes, extensive marshlands, and high forested mountains. This remote area is home to diverse ethnic communities, including the Tsaatan (reindeer herders), a small Indigenous group known for their unique nomadic lifestyle and deep connection with reindeer.

Travelers to Northern Mongolia can experience a rare combination of cultural heritage, dramatic natural scenery, and authentic nomadic traditions, making it one of the most unique and unforgettable regions in the country.
