Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Gorno-Altaysk, Russia to Artybash, Russia
On this day we will go to Lake Teletskoye to admire the natural landscapes. Our first stop is the Biya River, one of the main waterways of the Altai Mountains. After that, Teletskoye Lake awaits you. The largest lake in Gorny Altai is Teletskoye. In terms of fresh water reserves, it is second only to Lake Baikal. Its length is 78 km, maximum depth is 325 meters. During the day, you can bypass it on a motor ship and take with you in memory an unforgettable panorama of peaked mountains, rumbling waterfalls, sheer cliffs and flat pebble banks, promontories protruding into the water, quiet stone coves, calm coves and talkative mountain rivers. Lake Teletskoye is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful lakes in Siberia all year round. In winter, you can visit the ski complex, ride snowmobiles and dog sleds.
Day 2: Artybash, Russia to Gorno-Altaysk, Russia
In the morning we will go to Uch-Enmek national Park. On the way, we will rest on the Seminsky pass, walk through the cedar forest, and enjoy the mountain air. Uch Enmek nature Park is always an ideal place for sightseeing, recreation, Hiking, photography and scientific expeditions. Overnight at the residence of the nature Park.
Day 3: Onguday, Russia to Aktash, Altai Republic, Russia
In the morning we will visit the mound complexes of Bashadar 1 and 2, then we will go through the Chike Taman pass to the confluence of the Chuya and Katun rivers - Chui-Ozy, then we will visit the KalbakTash sanctuary. The KalbakTash sanctuary houses one of the largest collections of rock carvings in Siberia, dating back from 1000 to 5000 years. On this day, you can order a mini-concert on throat singing.
Day 4: Aktash, Altai Republic, Russia to Chagan-Uzunskoye, Russia
Today we have the fourth day of our tour, we continue to move along the Chuisky tract with a visit to all significant places - the Picturesque Geyser Lake, the observation deck of the Severo-Chuisky and Kuraisky ridges, the Kurai steppe, the Martian landscapes of the Kyzyl Chin. The final destination on this day will be the village of Chagan-Uzun.
Day 5: Chagan-Uzun, Russia to Kokorya, Russia
Today we will plan a tour of the Chuya steppe with a stop at the museum of the village of Kokorya, admire the beautiful landscapes of Kyzyl Shin and the valley of the Yustyd river. On this day, you can organize a meeting with the shaman.
Day 6: Kokorya, Russia to Ulagan, Russia
After breakfast, you will drive to Ulagan to continue your journey. Approaching Ulagan, you will see the Red Gate, the famous alpine lake Kidelyu and the sacred place of the Altai people, the Ulagan Pass.
Day 7: Katu Yaryk, Russia to Vodopad Kurkure, Russia
Departure to the valley of the Chulyshman river to the Katu-Yaryk pass with a visit to the famous burial mounds of the Pazyryk culture. Radial hike to the Kurkure waterfall.
Day 8: Ulagan, Russia
Return to the city of Gorno-Altaysk.
