Day 1: Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Day 1: Welcome to Tashkent Your journey begins with a morning arrival in Tashkent, where a driver holding a THE GREAT CARAVAN sign will greet you at the airport. 10:30–11:00 – Transfer to the city. Tashkent City Tour Immerse yourself in the cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan’s capital as you explore its most iconic landmarks: • Hast Imam Complex – the spiritual heart of Tashkent, home to ancient Islamic relics, including: • Hast Imam Juma Mosque • Center of Islamic Civilization • Muyi Muborak Madrasah • Tilla Sheikh Mosque • Barakhan Madrasah • Chorsu Bazaar (optional) – Tashkent’s oldest and most vibrant market, offering an authentic taste of Uzbek culture with its colorful spices, fresh produce, and local handicrafts. • Courage Monument – a memorial dedicated to the victims of the devastating 1966 earthquake. • Tashkent TV Tower (optional) – one of the tallest structures in Central Asia, offering panoramic views of the city. • Amir Temur Square & Amir Temur Museum (panoramic view) – a tribute to the great conqueror and his legacy. • Romanov Palace (panoramic view) – a historical mansion preserving traces of Tsarist Russia in Central Asia. • Mustakillik Square – the central square of Uzbekistan, symbolizing the country’s independence. • Tashkent City (Magic City) – a modern architectural complex blending contemporary design with an enchanting Eastern atmosphere. 14:30–15:00 – Lunch at one of the best national restaurants, offering an exquisite selection of traditional Uzbek dishes. 16:30–17:00 – Hotel check-in and free time. 20:00–22:00 – Dinner at a fine dining restaurant, where you can enjoy gourmet Uzbek cuisine in an elegant setting. After dinner, you can relax at your hotel or explore Tashkent’s illuminated streets at your leisure.
Day 2: Tashkent, Uzbekistan to Bukhara, Uzbekistan
Day 2: The Enchantment of Bukhara Your day begins with an early breakfast at the hotel (lunch box provided). • 07:00 – Check-out and transfer to the railway station. • 08:29 – Departure to Bukhara on the high-speed Afrosiyob train. • 10:53 – Arrival in Bukhara, where you will be welcomed by your guide and driver. Outskirts of Bukhara Tour Explore the historical and spiritual heritage of Bukhara, one of the most ancient cities of the Silk Road: • Ark Fortress – the oldest citadel and former residence of Bukhara’s emirs. • Chashma-Ayub – a sacred spring associated with the legend of Prophet Job. • Bolo-Hauz Complex – a stunning ensemble featuring a mosque and a picturesque minaret. • Samanid Mausoleum (9th–10th century) – one of the oldest Islamic tombs in Central Asia. • Bahauddin Naqshbandi Complex – a significant Sufi pilgrimage site. • Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa – the summer palace of Bukhara’s emirs, blending European and Eastern architectural styles. 13:00–14:20 – Lunch at a renowned local restaurant, offering authentic Bukharian cuisine. Walking Tour of Old Bukhara Immerse yourself in the charming atmosphere of the old city, where every street tells a story of the past: • Lyabi-Hauz Ensemble – a beautiful square centered around an ancient pond. • Magoki-Attori Mosque (9th century) – one of Bukhara’s oldest places of worship. • Trading Domes & Tim of Abdullakhan – traditional covered markets offering silk, jewelry, spices, and handicrafts. • Ulugbek & Abdulaziz-Khan Madrasahs – outstanding examples of medieval Islamic architecture. • Poi-Kalyan Ensemble – the most iconic landmark of Bukhara, featuring: • Kalyan Minaret – an architectural masterpiece and symbol of the city. • Miri-Arab Madrasah – a functioning religious school with a rich history. 18:30–19:00 – Dinner at a national restaurant, where you can savor local delicacies. Day 3: Bukhara, Uzbekistan to Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Day 3: Return to Tashkent • Breakfast at the hotel. • 10:00 – Check-out and transfer to the railway station. • Departure to Tashkent on the high-speed Afrosiyob train. • 12:00 – Arrival in Tashkent. • Transfer to the airport for your departure.
