The Rakaposhi Base Camp Trek is one of the most scenic short treks in the Karakoram, starting from Minapin in Nagar Valley and leading through alpine meadows, forests, glaciers, and spectacular views of Rakaposhi (7,788 m).

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Skardu International Airport, Skardu to Hunza valley, Mekhtar, Pakistan
Skardu Exploration and Trek Preparation day
Day 2: Hunza Nagar
Early departure from Skardu via the spectacular Karakoram Highway. En route enjoy views of the Indus River, meeting point of the Indus & Gilgit Rivers, and dramatic Karakoram landscapes. Arrive Hunza and explore near places. 7–8 hrs
Day 3: Rakaposhi Base Camp Contact., Gilgit to Rakaposhi Base Camp Tagafari Camping Site, Minapin
Start trekking through pine forests and alpine landscapes. Continue towards Hapakun and then Tagaphari/Rakaposhi Base Camp, with spectacular views of Rakaposhi and its glacier. 6-7 hours Trek
Day 4: Rakaposhi Base Camp Tagafari Camping Site, Minapin to Skardu
Early morning sunrise and mountain views at base camp. Descend to Minapin and continue towards Upper Hunza. Visit Attabad Lake, Passu Cones and Hussaini area depending on time. 4- 5 hours Trek. Drive: 6 - 8 hours drive
Day 5: Skardu to Skardu International Airport, Skardu
Drop to Skardu Airport. Have a safe journey.
