About this tour
Take a photo tour to wild Taiga Mountains of Mongolia with experienced guide. Photographers and travelers have a great opportunity to photograph Mongolia’s epic landscapes such as majestic mountains, peaceful forest and picturesque lakes along with the hundreds of grazing sheep, galloping horses, caravanning reindeers, explore lifestyle of authentic Mongol nomads- the yurt dwellers, and experience mysterious shaman rituals while staying with Mongolian Ethnic Dukha Tribe-the teepee dwellers.
You will be roaming through the taiga wilderness on reindeer and horseback, living with mystical Tsaatan people to experience primitive lifestyle, sitting around the campfire to talk about shaman stories, staying in teepee, waking up in the foggy morning surrounded the photogenic landscape of Northern Mongolia and Capture them all with your camera. Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Pick you up our driver and guide from Chinggis Khan international airport. Drive to Your hotel. Visit local outdoor market /bazaar/, Gandan Monastery and Mongolia national museum. Evening Leisure day in Ulaanbaatar city. Over night at Hotel
Day 2: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Khuvsgul Lake, Mongolia
Domestic flight to Murun town and picked up from local airport by then drive to Khuvsgul Lake – as named as “Blue Pearl”. The lake itself is one of the natural wonders of the earth and the second largest freshwater lake. It is surrounded by magnificent pine-covered mountains. You will relax at the lakeshore and capture a multitude of stars over the blue lake. Stay overnight in ger camp.
Day 3: Khuvsgul Lake, Mongolia
A half day photographing in Khovsgol Lake area surrounded by stunning color providing tips and tricks. Then heading to Tsagaan Nuur village, where Tsaatan people are settled. We will drive through Darkhad depression, is one of the must photograph landscapes in Mongolia due to its outstanding natural beauty, ragged mountains, peaceful meadows, marvelous lakes and clear air. Stay overnight at tent.
Day 4: Khuvsgul Lake, Mongolia
The Darkhad valley is divided between the Ulaan-Uul, Renchinlkhumbe, and Tsagaannuur sums. Inhabitants are mainly Darkhad (whom the valley”s name derives from), and also some Tsaatan. The area is 4270 km². It was transferred from the People”s Republic of Tagna Tuva to the Mongolian People”s Republic in 1925 as a Soviet concession to the Mongolians, who had wanted to incorporate the territory of Tagna Uriankhai into their country.
Day 5: Khuvsgul Lake, Mongolia
Today we will visit to Reindeer family /3 or 4 families/. Explore their life style and have enjoy photography with reindeer families.
Day 6: Khuvsgul Lake, Mongolia
Morning we will Explore Reindeers families life style and meet other families. Have a enjoy your time.
Day 7: Khuvsgul Lake, Mongolia
We are start drive to Murun city. On the way we will rest Ulaan Uul village and tomorrow morning continue drive to Murun city.
Day 8: Khuvsgul Lake, Mongolia to Murun, Mongolia
Start drive to Murun city. On your way you can see Darkhan nomads life style and wild nature.
Day 9: Murun, Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Today will be an early start in order to get back to Murun in time for your return flight to Ulaanbaatar. On arrival in Ulaanbaatar you will be met by a driver and vehicle and taken back to your hotel.
