ROUTE: Ulaanbaatar-Yolyn Am ice valley in Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park-Khongoryn Els singing sand dune-Bayanzag Flaming Cliffs-Ruin of Ongiin Khiid Monastery-Erdenezuu Temple in Kharkhorin-Khorgo Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park (White Lake)-Khuvsgul Lake National Park – Uran Togoo- Erdenet-Amarbayasgalant Monastery-Aglag Temple-Ulaanbaatar.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ramada by Wyndham Ulaanbaatar Citycenter, Улаанбаатар, Mongolia to Yolin Am Ice Field, Mongolia
Meet and greet at the meeting point in Ramada Ulaanbaatar Hotel. Start driving to Dalanzadgad city of Umnugobi province. Stop at local cafe of Mandalgobi city for lunch. Continue driving to Yolyn Am ice valley of Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. Hiking trekking at the mountain. Horse riding is available here. Check in to a ger camp run by locals. Dinner at the ger camp. Sleep in ger.
Day 2: Yolin Am Ice Field, Mongolia to Hongorïn Els, Mongolia
Breakfast at the ger camp. Start driving to Khongoryn Els Singing Sand Dune via Bayandalai village. Reach Khongoryn Els Singing Sand Dune, largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. Check in to a local guesthouse run by local camel herder family. One-hour camel riding to the sand dune is available. Climbing to the top of the sand dune. Return to guesthouse. Dinner at guesthouse. Sleep in ger.
Day 3: Hongorïn Els, Mongolia to Flaming Cliffs, Mongolia
Breakfast at guesthouse. Start driving to Bayanzag Flaming Cliffs via Bulgan village. Lunch along the way in Bulgan village cafe. Watch Bayanzag Flaming Cliffs, a famous place where first dinosaur egg was discovered, very rich in Palentological findings dated back to 70-80 million years ago. Check in to ger camp. Dinner at ger camp. Sleep in ger.
Day 4: Flaming Cliffs, Mongolia to Ongiin Khiid, Mongolia
Breakfast at the ger camp. Start driving to the ruin of Ongiin Khiid. Visit Buddhist monastery site, built in 1760, but was destroyed by communists in 1937. Check in to local ger camp. Dinner at the ger camp. Sleep in ger.
Day 5: Ongiin Khiid, Mongolia to Kharkhorin, Mongolia
Breakfast at the camp. Start driving to Kharkhorin via Khujirt village. Lunch at a local cafe in Khujirt village. Continue driving to Kharkhorin. Reach Kharkhorin by late afternoon. Visit Erdenezuu Temple, the oldest Buddhist temple built in 1585, using the leftover material of Karakorum city. Visit local Karakorum museum, and archeological site. Check in to a local guesthouse. Dinner at the guesthouse. Sleep in ger.
Day 6: Kharkhorin, Mongolia to Terhiyn Tsagaan Nuur, Mongolia
Breakfast at the camp. Start driving to Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park. Lunch along the way. Reach Khorgo, a crater of extinct volcano. start climbing up to the top of the crater. Enjoy the panoramic view of the national park area. Continue driving to Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur Lake. Check in to a local ger camp located on shore of the lake. No swimming in the lake. Dinner at ger camp. Sleep in ger.
Day 7: Terhiyn Tsagaan Nuur, Mongolia to Hatgal, Mongolia
Breakfast at the ger camp. Start driving early morning to Khatgal village via Murun city. Lunch in Jargalant village. Reach Murun city by evening. Continue driving to lake. Reach Khatgal village by late evening. Check in to local ger camp on the lake. Dinner at ger camp. Stay overnight in ger.
Day 8: Hatgal, Mongolia
Breakfast at the ger camp. Enjoy beautiful view of the lake. Visit local reindeer herder family. Lunch at the reindeer herder family. Start half-day horse riding along the lake. Return to Khatgal. Dinner at the ger camp. Sleep in ger.
Day 9: Hatgal, Mongolia to Erdenet, Mongolia
Start driving to Murun city. Stop by 50° 100°, a crossing of 50th Parallel North and 100th Meridian East. Continue driving to Erdenet city via Bulgan city. Lunch in Bulgan city. Check in to a hotel in Erdenet. Dinner at a local restaurant in Erdenet. Stay overnight in hotel.
Day 10: Erdenet, Mongolia to Ramada by Wyndham Ulaanbaatar Citycenter, Улаанбаатар, Mongolia
Start driving to Ulaanbaatar via Aglag Meditation Temple on the mountain. Visit to Aglag temple on the mountain. Lunch is takeaway lunch at the temple. Reach Ulaanbaatar by late afternoon.

Sleeping overnight in basic yurt or ger, be expected that 4-5 hours of driving everyday, outhouse toilet situation, mind availability of hot shower, allergy of dust, car sickness problem!, expect that food are no-vegetarian food.
