Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Uyuni to Villamar
We start with a pickup at Uyuni Airport (flight OB304, landing at 8:40 AM), stopping briefly for snacks before heading to the altiplano. First, we visit the Train Cemetery, a historical site where Bolivia’s first locomotives rest. Then we pass by San Cristóbal mining town, known for its rich history during the mining boom (optional stop). Lunch in the nature, near Valle de Rocas, a stunning landscape filled with surreal rock formations. Then, we stop at Laguna Vinto and Italia Perdida, two natural spots with mesmerizing views. We finish the day at Villa Mar, a cozy family house hostel with a 4-bed room and en-suite bathroom, offering you a restful night. Day 2: Villamar to Salar de Uyuni
After breakfast, we begin at 8:00 AM, heading towards Laguna Capina, We continue passing through the Dalí Desert, and head towards the Chilean border, exploring the Green and White Lagoons, where you can enjoy breathtaking altiplano views. a peaceful lagoon known for its flamingos. Next, we make our way to Polques hot springs for a relaxing break. We then drive back via Sol de Mañana geysers, the highest point of the tour at nearly 5,000 meters above sea level, with fumaroles, steaming craters, and boiling mud. Afterward, we make our way to Laguna Colorada, known for its striking red waters and as a natural habitat for flamingos. We will also stop at Stone Tree and Vizcachas Canyon before heading to Laguna Hedionda, where you can observe flamingos up close. In the evening, we head to the hotel for the night. Night Tour: After dinner, enjoy a night photography tour. Our driver will take you to the best spots near your accommodation to capture the stars and the stunning night sky. Day 3: Salar de Uyuni to Uyuni
The adventure begins at 7:30 a.m. with a visit to the Uyuni Train Cemetery, followed by a stop in Colchani, known for its handicrafts and salt production. Next, we’ll explore the Uyuni Salt Flats, visiting the Eyes of the Salt Flat, the Salt Museum, impressive salt sculptures, the Dakar Monument, and the fascinating Stairway to Heaven, among other iconic spots. You’ll also get to admire giant cacti and petrified coral on Incahuasi Island—perfect for unique photos on the endless white surface. Optional: Ride a bicycle across the salt flats, with the support vehicle always nearby in case you wish to pause the activity. The day concludes with a sunset cocktail on the salt flats, as the sky turns golden and pink, offering an unforgettable show over the endless mirror of salt. We return to drop you off in Uyuni.
