Saint Thaddeus monastery is located at northwest of Iran in 230 kilo meters of east north of Chaldoran city and take long 3.5 hours by bus from Tabriz city This church is the first church of the world Christian that make it very important for tourism and is located in Iran This place is built about 1400 years ago but during a very strong earth quick at 1391 it break down completely and after was rebuilt again by bishop Rakaya during 10 years and finally opened at 1401 AD to pilgrims This church is being known in Iran as quara kelisa and is famous to this name because black stones are used in its walls (in Turkish Quara mean black ) This building is made from to main parts : 1- the ancient and black color part 2- the new and white color part
