Day 1: Dashoguz, Turkmenistan to Darvaza Gas Crater, Darvaza, Turkmenistan
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Uzbekistan - Turkmenistan border point. Drive to Darvaza Gas crater Drive to Darvaza -the story of this Flamming Gas Crater starts in 1971. In Turkmenistan, when a Soviet drilling rig accidentally punched into a massive underground natural gas cavern causing the ground to collapse and the entire drilling rig to fall in)and: • Enjoy evening view of burning gas crater Picnic dinner with barbeque & vegetables cooked on an open fire. O/n at tents with sleeping bags & sleeping matrasses.
Day 2: Darvaza Gas Crater, Darvaza, Turkmenistan to Köneürgench, Turkmenistan
Breakfast on spot. • Enjoy morning view of burning gas crater. Drive to Kunya Urgench Kunya Urgench-UNESCO World Heritage Site and SS: • Mausoleum of Fakhr-At-Din –built in 12-13 centuries,it is small,almost square erection crowned with the 12 sided marquee.The mausoleum is connected with the name of scientist Fakhr-ad-din. • Sultan Tekesh Mausoleum-1172-1200 y.-mausoleum presents semicubic errection,crowned with the high conic cupola. • Turebek Khanum Mausolum –the mausoleum is connected with name of the Turebek Khanum wife of the Urgench governor Kutlug Temur.The building consists of the big 12 side volume with the high portal,joining it from South & small right angled building from the North. Kutlug Timur Minaret -60 m in height the minaret was built in 1320-1330 by gold khord khan Kutlug Timur. Lunch at local restaurant in Kune-Urgench.
