Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Delhi, India
Today, during your arrival in India, our representative will welcome you to Delhi International Airport and will also provide you the necessary assistance. After this, you will be transferred to your hotel in Delhi by sitting in a comfortable car. If you only have time after that, then spend time wandering the nearby local markets and enjoy Indian cuisine.
Day 2: Delhi, India
Today you will go sightseeing in Delhi. In the morning you will go to see the sights of Old Delhi. First of all, you will visit the ancient traditional market like Chandni Chowk located in Old Delhi. Here you will also experience a rickshaw ride in the crowded streets. After this, you will go famous Gurudwara Shishganj Sahib located in Old Delhi. This holy place is the site of the martyrdom of the ninth Guru Shri Tegh Bahadur Ji. Afternoon you will go to visit Qutub Minar and Humayun's Tomb in New Delhi. Finally, you will visit Bangla Sahib Gurdwara. Eighth Sikh Guru Harkrishan Ji lived in this place during his stay in Delhi and helped people in a smallpox epidemic.
Day 3: Delhi, India to Chandigarh, India
Today after breakfast in the morning, you will travel from Delhi to Chandigarh. After traveling 245 kilometers, you will reach Chandigarh by afternoon and first of all check-in at the hotel. After that, you will go to visit the famous rock garden in Chandigarh. After the end of the rock garden tour in the late afternoon, you will see the beautiful sunset on the banks of the Sukhna Lake. After that, you will spend time wandering in the dazzling markets of Chandigarh.
Day 4: Chandigarh, India to Anandpur Sahib, India
Today, after breakfast in the morning, you will leave Chandigarh and travel 127 kilometers to Anandpur. First of all, during this journey, you will go to Fatehgarh Sahib Gurdwara. This gurudwara is built on top of an ancient fort. In this gurudwara, 7-year-old Fateh Singh and 9-year-old Zorawar Singh, the younger son of Guru Gobind Singh, were buried alive in the wall by the Mughals for not converting. From here you will travel further to Rupnagar and go to the famous Gurudwara Parivar Vichhora located near Rupnagar. This is the holy place where the Guru Govind Singh family got separated from each other during the war period. After this, you will go to Kiratpur Sahib Gurdwara where Guru Govind Singh Ji received the holy head of the ninth Guru Shri Tegh Bahadur from Bhai Jaita Singh. After visiting all the important gurdwaras, you will check-in at your hotel in Anandpur Sahib in the evening.
Day 5: Anandpur Sahib, India
Today morning you will go to visit the Gurudwara Anandpur Sahib. This Gurudwara is a witness to the battles fought against Aurangzeb by the great Guru in ancient times. After this, you will have breakfast and then go to visit the Virasat-E-Khalsa museum. The museum houses sculptures of Punjabi festivals and ritual activities and also has historical objects associated with the Khalsa Panth. After this, in the afternoon you will go to visit the famous Naina Devi Shakti Peetha situated at some distance from this place. After visiting Naina Devi, you will spend sunset time in this temple complex situated at the top of the hill, overlooking the beautiful view of the huge Govind Sagar Lake. In the evening you will return to your hotel in Anandpur.
Day 6: Anandpur Sahib, India to Amritsar, India
Today you will leave Anandpur Sahib and travel further to Amritsar, which is about 235 km from here. On the way, you will visit Dera Baba Vadbhag Singh Gurudwara. In this gurudwara, the wishes of unhappy people are fulfilled. During this journey, you will also visit Sheetla Devi Shakti Peeth. Passing through many rural areas and lush green fields of Punjab, you will reach Amritsar by evening and check-in the hotel.
Day 7: Amritsar, India
Today morning you will go to visit the Golden Temple. Apart from the beautiful Golden Temple, you will also see the holy lake here. You will be convinced of the generosity of the Sikh Panth by seeing the huge anchor in the Golden Temple Gurudwara. After that, you will go to visit Jallianwala Bagh. In the afternoon you will visit a typical Punjabi village, 13 km from Amritsar. Here you will visit the vegetable farm with the guide and see different types of vegetables and crops. You will also experience the tractor ride. In the afternoon you will enjoy traditional Punjabi food at the famous Hotel Kisan Villa.
Day 8: Amritsar
Today after breakfast in the morning, you will leave from Amritsar for Tarn Taran Sahib. Tarn Taran Sahib Gurdwara was established by Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Guru of the Sikhs. This gurudwara was rebuilt by Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji. After visiting this historic gurudwara, you will continue your journey to Goindwal Sahib, your next destination. Goindwal used to be a ghat crossing the Beas river in ancient times from where the traders coming from the west side used to pass. Therefore, a businessman Govinda established a village here, which Guru Angad Ji Dev Ji gave his patronage. After visiting this religious place, you will return to Amritsar in the evening.
Day 9: Amritsar, India to McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala, India
After breakfast this morning, you will leave Amritsar behind and travel to your next destination, McLeodganj. During this time you will enter Himachal Pradesh, passing through the land of beautiful green fields of Punjab. On the way, you will visit important Shakti Peethas like Chintpurni and Jwala Devi. In the evening you will spend time wandering in colorful markets dotted with Tibetan culture in a beautiful hill station like McLeodganj.
Day 10: McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala, India to Manikaran, India
After breakfast this morning, you will leave for McLeodganj and start your journey to Manikaran Sahib, your next destination. Today's journey is 210 kilometers but due to the mountainous route, the time will usually take more than the time taken. But during this journey, if you go to see many beautiful views of nature, then you will not feel much distance. During this journey, you will also visit Chamunda Devi Shakti Peeth. During this journey, you will pass through the beautiful tea gardens of Palampur. Continuing your journey, you will follow the Beas River and you will reach Manikaran by evening, looking at the beautiful views of Kullu valley.
Day 11: Manikaran, India to Mandi, India
Today morning you will go for a tour of Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib. The place was visited by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of the Sikh Panth along with his disciple brother Mardana and cooked food in hot water springs. Also sacred to people of Hinduism. It is believed that Manu Rishi once again established human life at this place after the worldwide flood. After this, you will travel 91 kilometers to your next destination Mandi and will check in the hotel after reaching there. After this, you will visit the famous Gurdwara Govind Singh Sahib located in Mandi and will visit the Gurudwara Rivalsar Sahib situated at a distance from Mandi city. There is a beautiful lake in Rivalsar around which Buddhist monasteries, Hindu temples, and Gurudwara Rivalsar Sahib are established. While the tenth Guru Govind Singh was visiting the hill states for support against the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, he spent 1 month in Rivalsar for consultations with the kings. Later Jogindra Sen, the king of Mandi established this gurudwara to commemorate the Guru. In the evening you will return to Mandi and spend time wandering in the bustling market located in this beautiful town.
Day 12: Mandi, India to Shimla, India
Today after breakfast in the morning, you will travel 140 kilometers from Mandi to Shimla. On the way, you will visit Sundernagar lake and see a lot of natural scenery. After reaching Shimla, they will visit the famous Jakhu Temple and see the huge statue of Hanuman. In the evening you will spend time walking on the famous Mall Road in Shimla and you will see the Hustle and bustle of the people in the pleasant weather here.
Day 13: Shimla, India to Paonta Sahib, India
Today, after having breakfast in the morning, you will travel to the next destination Ponta Sahib. During this journey, you will pass through beautiful mountain towns like Solan and Nahan. On the way, you will be able to see the beautiful natural scenery of the hilly areas. Before reaching Ponta Sahib, you will also visit the beautiful Renuka Lake and also visit the Renuka Temple located there. You will check in the hotel by reaching Paonta Sahib in the evening.
Day 14: Paonta Sahib, India to Delhi, India
Today morning you will go for a tour of Gurudwara Ponta Sahib. This gurudwara was founded by Guru Govind Singh Ji. During his stay, Guru Gobind Singh Ji's horse suddenly stopped at this place. After this, he decided to stay here and stayed at this place for four and a half years. He did not stay anywhere for so long in his life and stopped here and wrote many religious books. These religious books are present in the Anandpur Sahib Museum. After a visit to the gurudwara, you will continue your journey and leave for Delhi. Passing through the beautiful green fields of Haryana, you will travel 245 kilometers to reach Delhi in the evening.
Day 15: Delhi, India
Today, after breakfast in the hotel, you will be transferred to Delhi International Airport. From here you will take a flight back to your home. It is here that this tour of historical places associated with Sikhism and places of faith of people of Sikh faith ends.
