About this tour
On this tour, we will travel to Khan Khentii wilderness area seeing some of the most famous attractions on the way. Khan Khentii is the closest well-kept pristine a s scenic area that has much to offer its guests. The tour is filled with activities and sightseeing, and visit the Genghis Khan statue complex- Terelj national park. Also included Gunj temple to the ruins of the 17th century.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar to Genghis Khan statue complex
Early morning, we will meet at hotel at 8:30am. On the way, we will drive to Genghis Khan statue which is 40m high tall statue on the world. See the Tuul River and Khan Khentii mountains from the observation deck of the statue horse. Next, we will go to Khan Khentii national that is mist beautiful and least touristic national park. Visit to nomad and see their daily life and tasting daily products Accommodation: Nomad family Meals: lunch, Dinner Destination: paved road 54 km - 2.5 Hours
Day 2: Khan Khentii, Mongolia to Gunj temple
Early morning, after breakfast we will load our luggage on the Yak. We will ride our horses and visit to Gunj temple with 19km. The first half of the tour will be supported by an ox cart on which you can sit or hike beside it. Leave the ox cart behind us and hike into depths of the mountains. Visit ruins of the 17th century Princess temple and hike back until we meet the yak cart. Arrive to Ger camp. Accommodation: Ger camp Meals: B, L, D
Day 3: Gunj temple to Terelj national
Early morning, after breakfast we will visit to Terelj national park driving the off the beaten tracks with views of pristine nature nomads and their countless animals. Next, we will visit to Turtle rock and have lunch at restaurant. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Accommodation: - Meals: B, L Destination: paved road 70 km - 2.5 Hours
