Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Samarkand, Uzbekistan to Baysun, Uzbekistan

Darband is one of the most astonishing natural wonders of Uzbekistan, hidden deep in the mountains of Surkhandarya. The name "Darband" translates as "narrow gates" — and for good reason: this canyon truly feels like a gateway to another world — a realm of serenity, cool air, and majestic nature. Our journey begins with a scenic ascent through the Amankutan Pass — one of the most beautiful mountain passes in the country. From the summit, a breathtaking panoramic view of Shakhrisabz, the birthplace of the great Amir Temur, opens up before your eyes. We will stop at a viewpoint along the way — a perfect opportunity to take in the scenery and capture stunning photos. After crossing the pass, we head south into Surkhandarya, where the dramatic landscapes of Darband Canyon begin to unfold — with towering cliffs, green gorges, and the soothing sound of a mountain stream. In the heart of the canyon, you'll enjoy a peaceful walk among natural arches, stone terraces, mini waterfalls, and shady groves. The atmosphere here is filled with calm and powerful natural energy. Darband is not just a point on the map. It's a living landscape — the breath of ancient earth — and a rare opportunity to experience pure silence and untouched nature. This tour is ideal for hikers, photographers, nature enthusiasts, or anyone seeking a deep sense of escape and renewal. On the return journey, we’ll stop once more at the pass to enjoy tandoor-roasted lamb, a local specialty famous throughout Uzbekistan. You'll also get to watch the traditional clay oven cooking process. Let me know if you want this in a version for social media, a brochure, or a tour website section.
