Day 1 Our guide will meet you and assist with all the necessary border procedures and paperwork. Afterward, you’ll settle into the vehicle and embark on your journey to the Koytendag region. This area is renowned not only for its natural beauty but also for its historical significance. During the excursion, you’ll visit the famous dinosaur footprints, which have been preserved for millions of years. These ancient imprints on the rocks serve as a unique testament to the prehistoric creatures that once roamed the Earth, offering a fascinating glimpse into the distant past. After the exciting excursion, you’ll have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the serenity of the surrounding nature before continuing your adventure.
Day 2 After breakfast, we will head to the city of Mary, a cultural and historical center of Turkmenistan. From there, we will continue our journey to Merv, an ancient city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Once a thriving city along the Great Silk Road, Merv boasts remarkable historical landmarks, including the Mausoleum of Sultan Sanjar, grand city walls, and ruins of ancient buildings that tell the story of the city’s former glory. After the tour of Merv, you will enjoy a traditional Turkmen dinner, offering an unforgettable culinary experience. We will then head to the hotel for a restful evening, preparing for the adventures of the following day.
Day 3 After a delicious breakfast in Mary, we will head to the magnificent city of Ashgabat, renowned for its stunning white marble architecture. This extraordinary city blends modernity with tradition, showcasing the unique style and culture of Turkmenistan. Upon arrival, we will check into our hotel and enjoy a delightful Turkmen lunch. In the afternoon, we will embark on a tour of Old Nisa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once the capital of the Parthian Empire, Nisa is a rich archaeological treasure, with remnants of fortifications, temples, and ancient burial mounds. Exploring this historic site will offer you a glimpse into the grandeur of an ancient civilization. After the tour, we will dine at a modern restaurant that reflects the charm of Turkmen traditions with a contemporary touch. Following the dinner, we will return to the hotel to relax and recharge for the next day.
Day 4 Early in the morning, we will leave the hotel and head to the airport for a flight to the city of Turkmenbashi, located on the shores of the Caspian Sea. From there, we will travel to the Yangikala Canyon, a natural wonder renowned for its striking beauty. This canyon is often compared to the Grand Canyon in the United States due to its stunning rock formations and breathtaking landscapes. You will enjoy a photoshoot amidst the mesmerizing scenery, a dinner featuring delicious grilled kebabs, and an overnight stay in tents by a warm campfire under the starry sky.
Day 5 Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will head to the airport for a flight back to Ashgabat. Upon arrival, our transfer will take you to the famous gas crater Darvaza, also known as the “Gates of Hell.” On the way, we will stop at the village of Erbent to visit a falcon farm, where you can admire these majestic birds of prey up close. Upon reaching the crater, you’ll enjoy a memorable photoshoot against the backdrop of the burning crater, a traditional dinner featuring Turkmen cuisine, and an overnight stay in a cozy yurt under the starlit sky.
Day 6 After breakfast, we will head to the historic city of Kunya-Urgench, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This ancient city was once the capital of the Khorezm Empire and an important hub along the Silk Road. You will visit remarkable landmarks such as the Mausoleum of Sultan Tekesh and the Turabeg Khanum Mausoleum, as well as the famous Kutlug Timur Minaret, one of the tallest medieval minarets in Central Asia. These sites offer a glimpse into the rich history and culture of this region. Following the tour, we will proceed to the border, marking the end of our memorable journey through Turkmenistan.
