Masherbrum peak (7821m) is a uniquely shaped mountain whose snow-capped tip evokes trepidation and awe. Beyond Hushe village lies the overshadowing presence of Masherbrum and the trek leading to summer pastures of Hushe villagers. This short & easy trek into the heart of the Karakoram is recommended to adventurers of all levels and age. The only glacier walking is a straightforward 30-minute section before base camp.

Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: lslamabad International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan to Islamabad Serena Hotel, Islamabad, Pakistan

Arrival at Islamabad International airport and transfer to the hotel. Participants will enjoy leisure time to relax and recover from the journey on this day.

Day 2: Islamabad, Pakistan to Skardu

Fly from Islamabad airport to Skardu (1-hour scenic flight). Free day for sightseeing and necessary purchasing from Skardu Bazar. We will visit Manthal Rock Budha, Kharpocho fort, Organic village and Skardu Bazar. Or In case of flight cancellation due to weather, drive from Islamabad via Karakoram Highway with short stops at various touristic spots.

Day 3: Skardu to Hushe

After breakfast at hotel we will drive to Hushe valley. Passing through small villages and witness diverse cultural heritage of the Ganche district. We will have short stops at the meeting point of Shayok & Indus Rivers, Thorgo Pari, and Sailing. Check into the hotel and have free time in the evening.

Day 4: Hushe to Jamia Mosque Dumsum, District Chance, Province

Trek from Hushe to Dumsum (3400m) through the beautiful Hushey village. Fix the campsite and after lunch do optional hike to Aling glacier (1 -2 hours). Leisure time in the afternoon for natural exploration. Overnight in camps.

Day 5: Jamia Mosque Dumsum, District Chance, Province to Brumbramah

Trek through the remote, mountainous terrain parallel to the Masherbrum Glacier to Brumbramah (3950m).

Day 6: Brumbramah to Masherbrum Base Camp

After breakfast at campsite, start trek to Masherbrum base camp (4200m) through a beautiful trail, parallel to Masherbrum glacier. Free time to in the afternoon to visit the base camp lake and nearby viewpoints.

Day 7: Masherbrum Base Camp to Jamia Mosque Dumsum, District Chance, Province

Trek back to Dumsum (3400m) with short stops for photography.

Day 8: Jamia Mosque Dumsum, District Chance, Province to Skardu

Trek back to Hushe and drive to Khaplu. Enjoy lunch at Khaplu fort, then drive to Skardu & check into the hotel.

Day 9: Skardu to Islamabad, Pakistan

Fly from Skardu to Islamabad. Transfer to Hotel and after lunch sightseeing.

Day 10: Islamabad, Pakistan

If we cannot fly due to the weather, we will travel down to Islamabad by road. If we fly from Skardu to Islamabad, we will enjoy sightseeing in the capital, or your leader will advise you on the options such as day excursion to the Taxila museum and archaeological sites.

Day 11: Islamabad Serena Hotel, Islamabad, Pakistan to lslamabad International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan

After breakfast, transfer from the hotel to the airport for international flights.
