Itinerary: Depart from Osh and drive toward Sary Mogol village, traversing the breathtaking Alay mountain ranges and crossing the scenic Taldyk Pass (3,615 m). Following a scheduled lunch stop, we cross the Sary Tash plains, where the spectacular, snow-capped panorama of the Pamir-Alay range unfolds. • Distance/Duration: 320 km | Approx. 6–7 hours • Route Highlights: Kyzyl-Art Pass (4,282 m), Karakul Lake, Ak-Baital Pass (4,655 m), Muztag Ata views. Itinerary: Today features some of the most dramatic landscapes of the journey, characterized by lunar-like terrains and vibrant turquoise lakes. We cross the Kyzyl-Art Pass (4,282 m), which marks the border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, and descend toward the stunning Lake Karakul. After a picnic lunch by the lakeshore, we head toward Murghab. En route, we conquer the Ak-Baital Pass (4,655 m)—the highest point of the entire tour. • Distance/Duration: 276 km | Approx. 5–6 hours • Route Highlights: Yashil Kul & Bulunkul Lakes, Kargushi Pass (4,344 m), Wakhan Valley entry. Itinerary: We depart for Langar, taking a scenic detour to visit two of the Pamirs' most enchanting alpine lakes: Bulunkul and Yashil Kul, nestled at 3,700 meters above sea level. The waters of Bulunkul display a striking interplay of violet and deep blue under the sunlight. The area is also excellent for spotting domestic yaks. Leaving the M41 highway behind, we cross the rugged Kargushi Pass (4,344 m) and enter the dramatic, barren, yet mesmerizing landscapes of the Wakhan Valley. • Accommodation: Local Homestay • Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
• Distance/Duration: ~20 km trek (40 km driving total) | 6–12 hours trekking (depending on fitness) • Route Highlights: Engels Peak (6,510 m) views, Hindu Kush Panorama, Alpine Meadows. Itinerary: After an early breakfast, a short drive brings us to the trailhead near Dirch (or Zong/Langar). Today is dedicated to a moderate yet rewarding day-hike to the Engels Peak Meadows, situated just below 4,000 meters. The trail is non-technical but involves an altitude gain from 3,200 m to 4,000 m. Hikers will be rewarded with lush green meadows and unparalleled views of Engels Peak and the Hindu Kush range. • Accommodation: Tented Campsite • Meals Included: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, Dinner
• Distance/Duration: 228 km | Approx. 6–7 hours • Route Highlights: Vrang Buddhist Stupa, Yamchun Fort, Bibi Fatima Hot Springs, Kahka Fortress, Garmchashma. Itinerary: We hike down to the meeting point to join our vehicles and begin a culturally rich drive through the fabled Wakhan Valley. Key stops include the 4th-century Buddhist stupas in Vrang, the Sufi Muboraki Wakhani museum in Yamg (where we also stop for lunch), and the spectacular Yamchun Fortress. Afterward, we enjoy a relaxing soak at the Bibi Fatima hot springs. Before reaching Ishkashim, we explore the 3rd-century Kushan-era Kahka Fortress. Itinerary: Today's route traces the deep canyon of the Panj River, which forms the natural border between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
