Kyrgyzstan is not only a country of the mountains but also of horses.
According to an ancient proverb “horses are the wings of the Kyrgyz”.
It takes a significant part in the nomadic culture. This trip will be ideal
for horse lovers. Enjoy the wild and untouched nature and learn about
the lifestyle of the Kyrgyz nomads while riding the
beautiful Kyrgyz horses.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Ala-Archa, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
After arrival to Manas airport, our guide will meet and transfer you to the hotel in Bishkek. After resting at the hotel, our car will pick you up and transport you to the Ala-Archa National Park, located about 40 kilometers from the city. There, you can walk through a beautiful gorge, among a spruce forest, and then you will get many pleasant impressions and enjoy your view of the snowy peaks of the Tien Shan Mountains. After the stroll, we will descend to Bishkek to lunch in one of the restaurants in the cityand start a tour of the city center. Visit the heart of Bishkek, Ala-Too Square, where the State Historical Museum is located. After we will take a walk through the locals favorite place Oak Park. Bishkek has been praised as the greenest city in Central Asia due to the countless parks and alleys that make the city a great place to live. In the evening, dinner awaits you, where you can taste Kyrgyz national dishes. Returning to the hotel.
Day 2: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Kyzart, Kyrgyzstan
Breakfast in the hotel. Our day begins with a visit to the Burana Tower. The Burana Tower is an ancient minaret in the Chui valley in northern Kyrgyzstan. A tower with funerary monuments, earthen ramparts, the remains of a castle, and three mausoleums are all that remains of the ancient city of Balasagyn, founded by the Karakhanids at the end of the 9th century. On the way, we can stop in Kochkor village to have lunch at a local cafe. After lunch, we will visit a souvenir shop at a national workshop, where you can buy souvenirs and traditional local felt products for yourself and your loved ones. Then we transfer you to a guesthouse in the village of Kyzart, where you can relax after the trip and taste delicious Kyrgyz dishes for dinner. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 3: Kyzart, Kyrgyzstan to kilemche
Breakfast at the guesthouse Today we start our equestrian trip to Son-Kul lake. In the morning, horses and a horse guide will be waiting for us near the guest house. He will instruct and select a horse for each, after which we set off. We will ride down the Kilemche Valley, the name translated from Kyrgyz as like a carpet. This carpet and all nearby slopes cover the valley with a variety of mountain grasses and alpine flowers. Overnight and dinner will be in a yurt, next to the shepherd’s dwelling. (4-6 people in a yurt, depending on the season) There you can get acquainted with the culture, traditions, and way of life of the nomadic Kyrgyz.
Day 4: kilemche to Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan
Breakfast at the yurt camp Riding to Son-Kul Lake. Horse riding allows you to enjoy the beauty of these places and feel like a part of nature. Today we cross the Tuz-Ashuu pass (3400m). From the Son-Kul pass, the lake seems very small, but when we go down and approach the lake, it appears as a large and beautiful lake. When we arrive at the yurt camp, you will also get acquainted with the hospitality of the nomads, their way of life, and customs. In the evening you can enjoy a beautiful sunset, and at night watch the starry sky, and shooting stars, and take pictures of the Milky Way. Dinner and overnight in a yurt camp (4-6 people in a yurt)
Day 5: Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Breakfast at the yurt camp Today we return to the guesthouse in the village of Kyzart, where a delicious lunch awaits us. After lunch, we return to civilization through the Boom Gorge. You can take pictures of these breathtaking landscapes. In the evening, we will have dinner in a traditional Kyrgyz restaurant.Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Manas International Airport, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
