Even today there are some northeastern provinces of India which are untouched by the rest of the world. In this tour, you will visit the tribal villages of and experience the beautiful culture and different life of the tribal village living in the areas of mountains, and lush green forests.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Kolkata, India
Our staff at Kolkata Airport will welcome you and assist you. You will be taken to the hotel from there. After a long air journey, you can spend time relaxing here or roam around the markets.
Day 2: Kolkata, India to Dibrugarh, India
On the second day, you will be taken to Dibrugarh, the gateway to Arunachal Pradesh. Our representatives will welcome you as soon as you arrive at the airport and from there you will be taken to the hotel to relax. After resting for a while there, you can roam the market or the banks of the river.
Day 3: Dibrugarh, India to Digboi, India
Today we will go to Digboi after breakfast. On reaching there, we will get to know the culture and traditions of the Fakiyal community which they have preserved till today. These people are Buddhists. After that, we will go to Bel Temple. After visiting the temple we will go to the hotel for rest.
Day 4: Digboi, India to Mon, India
Today after breakfast we will go to Mon district of Nagaland which is 898 meters high. There are people of the Konyak Naga tribe who wear feathers on their heads and have tattoos on their faces. These people are very good craftsmen and craftsmen. The most prominent festival here is Aoling Monyu. This festival is celebrated in the first week of April. It is ruled by the Konyak dynasty and their chief is known as Angus. After that, we will return to the hotel at night.
Day 5: Mon, India
Today we will visit the village of Shangnyu which is an important village there. Today we will talk to the local people and try to understand the lifestyle, culture, and traditions of the place closely. There is Ang Mahal 8 feet high and 12 feet wide. This place is believed to have been built by the angels. From there we will return to the hotel for a good sleep.
Day 6: Mon, India to Mokokchung, India
Today after breakfast we will go to Mokokchung. It is a cultural and political center of Nagaland where the Ao tribesmen live. The most prominent festival here in Motsu. This festival is celebrated here with much fanfare in the first week of May. In this festival, villagers give gifts to each other. Tonight we will spend it here in the hotel.
Day 7: Mokokchung, India
After breakfast, we leave for the village of Ungma, Longkhum, and Tuofema. The Ungma village is the oldest village and it is the second-largest village in Nagaland. This village shows the characteristics of the people of the Naga tribe. Longkhum village is known for its natural beauty. These mountains are filled with beautiful rhododendron flowers in the spring and when they bloom, the view of the natural beauty is very enchanting. After that, we will go to Tuofema village. There are many beautiful cottages for people from outside. Most people here use the English language.
Day 8: Mokokchung, India to Kohima, India
This morning we will do something different. If you prefer to go on trekking then you can do trekking in Tuofema village. The Sekranai festival is celebrated here from 25 to 27 February every year. It is believed that in this festival, people recover from bad luck and many diseases. Now we will enter Khonoma village, here you have many stories about the courageous people of this village. Tonight we will spend the Kohima capital of Nagaland.
Day 9: Kohima, India
Today we will visit a war memorial built here to commemorate the victory of our friendly countries over Japan. A cemetery is also built there in memory of the warriors who were martyred in the war. After that, we will go to the state museum where we can get a lot of information about Naga culture.
Day 10: Kohima, India to Jorhat, India
Today is a long journey day. After breakfast, we will leave for Jorhat and after reaching there we will stay there at night. On the way, you will see many beautiful views of nature.
Day 11: Jorhat, India
Today we will see tea plantations in Jorhat. There is a gymkhana club in Jorhat which is famous for horse riding and horse racing there. There is also a golf course. It is believed that it is the oldest in Asia and the third oldest golf course in the world. After that, we will travel to Aligarh which is the trade center of Jorhat. There you can shop for the famous things in North East India. Now we will return to the hotel for rest.
Day 12: Jorhat to Majuli, India
Today we will have breakfast early and go from Jorhat to Majuli. Majuli is the largest island on the Brahmaputra River in Assam. To reach here, we have to reach Nimati Ghat first, from there we can reach the Brahmaputra river by riding a boat in Majuli. Here on this river island, you get a chance to know the Vaishnava monasteries and their culture. Once there, you will learn about Majuli and Assamese culture. There are many small villages in Majuli. By reaching there, you will learn about the culture and traditions and ways of living the lives of the local people. The locals live their lives by weaving, farming, and fishing.
Day 13: Majuli, India to Kaziranga National Park, India
Today, we will cross the Brahmaputra river by boat and reach Nimati Ghat from Majuli. And then after that, we will leave for Kaziranga. Arriving in Kaziranga, we will visit Kaziranga National Park. Kaziranga National Park is world-famous for forest horned rhinos. And it will also arrange your stay at Kaziranga Wildlife Resort here. You will get to see more wildlife in Kaziranga which will take your Manmohan. There you will get a chance to visit many villages and get to know the culture there. After walking there we will come back to the resort for rest.
Day 14: Kaziranga National Park, India
Today, we leave early in the morning and we will have an elephant ride and a jeep ride to roam Kaziranga National Park. And we will have your representative with you to visit Kaziranga. First, we will ride an elephant in the forest, which will be a memorable moment for you. In this safari, you will also be able to see a horned rhinoceros and other creatures of the forest closely. From there we will have breakfast and after that, we will get ready for jeep safari. The experience of jeep safari will also be forever memorable because in it too we will see much wildlife close by which will be a different and pleasant experience. After this delightful jeep safari, we will have lunch and after that, we will have our second jeep safari. In Sarai, we will go towards the west area of Kaziranga Park. And then after coming back, we will go back to the resort for rest.
Day 15: Kaziranga National Park, India to Kolkata, India
Today will be the last day of our tour. Today we will go from Kaziranga to Jorhat and leave for Kolkata from Jorhat Airport. As soon as you reach Kolkata, you will be able to shop in the local market near you. After that, at night we will go to the hotel to rest and sleep.
Day 16: Kolkata, India
Today you will fly to your place of origin. Our staff will take you from the hotel to Kolkata International Airport on time according to the flight schedule.
