About this tour
This 10-day cultural tour covers some of Kyrgyzstan's most
scenic and tradition-rich regions. The journey begins in Bishkek
and passes through the majestic Suusamyr Pass before ending
at the spectacular mountain lake of Son-Kol, surrounded by
pastures, where you can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of
nomadic life and go on a fascinating horseback ride. The route
includes a visit to the village of Bokonbaevo, where
participants will witness traditional eagle hunting, and the Jeti-
Oguz valley with its famous red rocks. The program also
includes a shyrdyk show, which will introduce the art of making
traditional felt carpets. The end of the trip will be a rest in
hospitable Reina Kench, a visit to Cholpon-Ata with its cultural
monuments and the beaches of Lake Issyk-Kul, as well as
acquaintance with the nature of Chon-Kemin. This tour
combines stunning landscapes, lively culture, active vacations
and warm hospitality of Kyrgyzstan.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek City, Kyrgyzstan
Meeting at Manas airport. Hotel accommodation. Rest, city tour in Bishkek. Dinner in local restaurant. Return to hotel.
Day 2: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Kyzyl-Oi, Kyrgyzstan
The journey starts from the exit from Bishkek and passes through the picturesque Too-Ashuu pass, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the mountains. Then the route passes through the Suusamyr valley, where you can enjoy the panorama of the expanses. On the way there is a stop in Kozhomkul village to get acquainted with the history of the legendary batyr and his heritage. The final point of the route is Kyzyl-Oy village surrounded by red rocks and beautiful nature.
Day 3: Kyzyl-Oi, Kyrgyzstan to Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan
In the morning transfer to the high mountains lake Son-Kol. On the way stop at the Kara-Keche pass. Accommodation in eco ethno yurt town Ulush Yurts. Master class on preparation of Baursak (national bread) and national dish Shorpo, dinner in a yurt. Screening of Kyrgyz movie "Kurmanjan Datka", night in yurts
Day 4: Song-Kul, Kyrgyzstan to Bokonbayevo, Kyrgyzstan
Transfer to Bokonbaevo village. On the way stop in the village Kyzyl - Tuu, in a local family, who are engaged in the manufacture of yurts, show and participate in the process of production and collection of national dwellings. Arrival in Bokonbaevo, demonstration of hunting with mountain golden eagles according to ancient traditions, eagle hunting. Accommodation in guest house. Dinner, free time
Day 5: Bokonbayevo, Kyrgyzstan to Jeti Oguz, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast drive to Jeti Oguz. On the way drive to the sights of the south shore, Fairy Tale Canyon and Barskoon Gorge, walk to 3 waterfalls. Stop at the rock of broken heart and seven bulls. Check-in at ethno yurt camp in Jailoo Kok Zhayyk.
Day 6: Jeti Oguz, Kyrgyzstan to Cholpon Ata, Kyrgyzstan
Morning two kilometer trekking to the waterfall Maiden Spits. Breakfast and departure to Karakol city. City tour around the city. Visit to the museum and Dungan mosque. Lunch, tasting of famous Karakol Ashlam Fu. Departure to agro complex Reina Kench. Arrival, tour of the complex, check-in, free time. Dinner, rest.
Day 7: Cholpon Ata, Kyrgyzstan
Day 7: Reina Kench - Cholpon Ata - beach restBreakfast, free time before departure to Cholpon Ata. Lunch, upon arrival in Cholpon Ata you will be waited for an hour and a half walk on the lake Issyk Kul on a motorboat. After a refreshing walk on the boat we will go to the hotel where we are waiting for check-in at the hotel or guest complex. After check-in you will have free time to relax on the beach and get a sunbath on the sand.
Day 8: Cholpon Ata, Kyrgyzstan to Chon-Kemin, Kyrgyzstan
Departure to Chon-Kemin gorge.On the way drive to Semenovskoe Gorge, visit Suttu Bulak Lake, descend through Grigorievskoe Gorge, meet a beekeeper who will tell you about the varieties of honey. Stop in the town of Cholpon Ata, visit the cultural and spiritual center of Rukh Ordo named after Chyngyz Aitmatov. Chyngyz Aitmatov. Arrival in the village of Chon-Kemin, settlement and a wagon ride through the area with stories about the sights and famous people of the settlement. Dinner and free time.
Day 9: Chon-Kemin, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast, 3-4 hours horseback riding in the Chon-Kemin Valley. Return to the guesthouse, lunch and check-out to the city. Check-in at the hotel. Farewell evening and rest.
Day 10: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Manas International Airport, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
In the morning transfer to the airport. Departure.
