Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Gorno-Altaysk, Russia to Chagan-Uzun, Russia
On the first day of our trip, you will enjoy a fascinating tour of the Chui tract. We will pass two picturesque mountain passes-Seminsky and Chike-Taman. We will visit the sacred places of the indigenous population, look at rock paintings, visit observation platforms. We will see the ever-white peaks of the mountains. Overnight on the Bank of the Chuya river in a guest house in the village of Chagan-Uzun dinner. Bathhouse.
Day 2: Chagan-Uzun, Russia to Yelangash, Russia
Excursion program along the Kyzyl Chin valley and climb by car to the observation deck of mount Sukor (2980 m), where you can enjoy views of the South Chui, North Chui, Kurai ranges and the Chui steppe. After lunch, fishing on the banks of the Chuya river in the taiga called Koktar. Overnight in a guest house in the village of Chagan Uzun.
Day 3: Petroglify Doliny Yelangash, Ortolyk, Russia to Irbistu, Russia
Roadless part. We are on our way to the rock paintings, driving along the valley of the Elangash river. In the valley of the river Elangash is the most famous and rich in a concentration of rock paintings. It is believed that the drawings can reach 90 thousand, and the oldest of them are more than 11 thousand years old! Day 4: Irbistu, Russia to Chagan-Uzun, Russia
Off-road part. In the morning we leave the Chazyn-Kol shepherd's camp towards the picturesque valley of the Tura River, the South Chuisky ridge. Walk to Lake Turoy to the Irbistu ridge. After lunch, return to the village of Chagan-Uzun.
Day 5: Chagan-Uzun, Russia to Chagan-Uzunskoye, Russia
Walking walk to the lake Kyukhtanar. Kyukhtanar lakes are a special fabulous place. A place where you want to stay forever.
Day 6: Chagan-Uzun, Russia to Chagan-Uzunskoye, Russia
Hike to the valley of the Ildugem river. The picturesque valley of the Ildugem river with a stop at TyldysKol lake.
Day 7: Chagan-Uzun, Russia to Ulgii, Mongolia
We are moving towards Mongolia. We go through all the formal procedures, draw up questionnaires, and here we are in Mongolia. Lunch at a roadside cafe in the village of Krasnaya Yurt, then we leave towards the border town of Ulgii. On the way, stop at the picturesque lake Dund Nuur.
Day 8: Ulgii, Mongolia to Uujim, Mongolia
Breakfast. Excursion trip to the picturesque lake Tolbonuur and a visit to the local family of hunters, berkutchi. Acquaintance with the life of the local population. Upon arrival in the city, you can visit the souvenir shops or the city market, where you can buy products made from leather and wool of a yak, camel or any other souvenir products.
Day 9: Ulgii, Mongolia to Chagan-Uzun, Russia
Return to Russia. Along the way, stop in the picturesque places of the Chui steppe. Sunset views of Martian landscapes of the Kyzyl-Chin tract (Mars 1,2)
Day 10: Chagan-Uzun, Russia to Gorno-Altaysk, Russia
On this day, the group will enjoy a guided tour of the Kyzyl Chin valley. The Kyzyl-Chin valley impresses with a fantastic landscape. In this area, a very powerful weathering crust of red, white, and yellow colors is developed. Return to the city of Gorno-Altaisk. On the way stop for sightseeing facilities which have not yet been (Geyser lake, waterfall Cherlak).
