Day-by-day itinerary

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Ulgii, Mongolia

Early morning transfer to airport at 06.30am catch a flight to Olgii. Upon arrival transfer by car to have an tea break in the center of Olgii town. After some rest we leave for Tsambagarav Mountain. It is 90km from Olgii. 3 hours of driving through the rugged mountains of Western Mongolia. Non paved countryside road. We will visit a Kazakh eagle hunter Sailau. Who is about 65year old and respected man of the local community. His family keeps livelihood for living from generations to generations. We will learn more about Kazakh culture and hospitality during our stay. Our tourists stay in a separate yurt /ger/ next to Sailau’s family.

Day 2: Tsambagarav, Mongolia

In the morning after breakfast we will drive to Tsambagarav Mountains. It is a mountain of the Altai Mountains range. It has two peaks, its highest peak "Tsast Uul" (Mongolian: Цаст, lit. "snow-covered peak") has an elevation of 4,193 metres (13,757ft) and another peak same named "Tsambagarav". The mountain is the stand-alone eternally snow-capped mountain of the Mongol Altai and the regional sacred mountain in Mongolia. We take easy hiking to the waterfall of Tavan Salaa. We will take beautiful photo shooting with our eagle hunter Saiau. Afternoon return back to our yurt. For the dinner enjoy kazakh traditional dinner Bes Barmak. 30km drive.

Day 3: Tsambagarav, Mongolia to Tolbo Lake, Mongolia

Today we drive to the lake Tolbo. It is a freshwater lake in Mongolia. Elevation is at 2,080 meters (6,820 ft) high. The shoreline is treeless with few mosquitoes and a lot of people and families camp here every summer. Most of the people go there in mid-July because the water at that time is the warmest. Tolbo lake is also known as 100 kazan (100 pots). The reason why is the lake has 100 deep places that are just like pots. We will stay at the tourist camp located on the shore of the lake. We will take a walk on the shore of the lake and in the evening sitting around the bonfire made just for our group. 90km drive.

Day 4: Tolbo Lake, Mongolia to Ulgii, Mongolia

After breakfast on the shore of the lake drive to Olgii town. After checked in tourist camp located on the bank of the Khovd river we go to make city tour. Visiting central Mosque, Bazar, Museum and souvenir shops. In the evening you will enjoy a small performance by local artists. 45km drive.

Day 5: Ulgii, Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Transfer to airport. Departure to Ulaanbaatar.
