Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Tunis, Tunisie to Bizerte, Tunisie
Around 8:00 AM, our team will pick you up at your address in Tunis or Hammamet in a private, air-conditioned vehicle, heading towards Utica, Ichkeul, and Bizerte. First stop: Utica – The ancient capital of Tunisia in the 1st century AD, this major archaeological site boasts a Punic necropolis, Roman houses, and a museum rich in mosaics and sculptures. Second stop: Ichkeul National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site) – This wetland sanctuary is home to thousands of migratory birds (flamingos, storks, etc.). Visit the ecological museum and enjoy a walk to observe the wildlife, including wild buffalo. Third stop: Bizerte – Enjoy a traditional Tunisian lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, explore the waterfront promenade, the old port, the medina, the kasbah, and the Ottoman fortifications. You will have free time to stroll through the modern city with its French influences. Late afternoon: Return to your hotel.
