Village And Eagle Hunter

Day 1: Nur-Sultan

We'll drive about 40 minutes outside the city and arrive to a village. The village is interesting even "per se" as a typical settlement established under Virgin Soil Development program os USSR. Now it is mixed with post-Soviet reality. But the most interesting thing is still ahead, the family of local eagle hunter. The man keep 4 of them, the oldest one inherited from his father. In his house we will see all eagles and join to nomadic entertainment and daily activity: milking the cow, playing with kids, shooting with a bow or rifle, fishihng, riding a horse. Some activities can be done at home, for some we will have to drive outside the village - this part will depend on weather and road conditions. WE will finish the event by having traditional meal - most often, beshbarmak. Beshbarmak is very simple - big chunks of horse or lamb meat mixed with big sheets of pastry, pepper, onion and broth, truly nomadic. For the tea we will have variety of dairy products and sweets, all home-made. Then we return to the city. Total duration is about 4 hours. The rest of day can be used for the city tour and comes free of charge.
