If you have time to be away from the large and busy towns like Tehran and if you are already fed up with deserts and mosques in Iran, let us take you to a mountainous nature in Iran named "Alamut Valley". In the Valley of Assassins, we have the opportunity to help you to get in an authentic contact and interact with the villagers. Villages in Alamut Valley are still alive! People are living there, they have their farming and herds of goats and sheep and some of them still bake their bread in tandoors!
Relaxing in the village houses and local hostels in Alamut Valley, will stop the time for you. The beautiful sky in the valley is full of stars and will be a lifetime memory for you.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Qazvin, Iran to Gazorkhan, Iran
Visiting the highlights of Alamut Valley: Alamut Castle, the Canyons, and Ovan Lake. Understanding the legends and also the real story of the Assassins (Ismailis), how were they formed, how got strong and how their power was finished. In the evening stop in a village in the valley to have dinner and sleep in a village house.
Day 2: Feshk, Iran to Qazvin, Iran
After breakfast, we explore the village and will talk to the villagers. Watching and doing the bread baking in tandoors, is the experience of all time for you in Iran. We will eat local meals with the villagers and watch the herds of sheep and goats. Meeting the local farmers and having some light treks would be our next plans.
