Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Arrival early in the morning to Bishkek. Transfer to the hotel. Rest. Lunch. A city tour in Bishkek. Dinner in the local restaurant with New Year performance. Overnight in the hotel. • Meals: B / L / D • Altitude during the day: 800m in Bishkek
Day 2: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast transfer to Ala-Archa National Park or Alamedin gorge, not far from Bishkek. A winter light trek with snowshoe to the frozen waterfall. Lunch as picnic in a fresh air. In the afternoon transfer to the hotel. Dinner in the local restaurant with New Year performance. Overnight in the hotel. Notes: for trekking you need normal hiking shoes, as it is in winter time be sure that they are waterproof. The trek usually takes 3-4 hours, but if the client is tired we can return. • Meals: B / L / D • Altitude during the day: beginning of day – 800m in Bishkek, – 2300 m in Ala-Archa or Alamedin, End of the day 800 m in Bishkek
Day 3: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Bokonbayevo, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast transfer to the southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake, that is the second largest mountainous lake in the world on the altitude of 1607 meters above the sea level. Visit the Fairytale canyon hike for about 1 hour. The canyon was named due to its bizarre rocky landscape, which for many years has been transformed by wind into fabulous sculptures and formations. Some formations in "Skazka" have been named for their similarity to well-known objects. For example, one set of ridges in the canyon is named "The Chinese Wall" due to its similarity to the Great Wall of China. You can also find what appear to be statues of a hippopotamus, snake, dragon, sleeping giant and even whole castles. Because the different rocks have amazing colors, the rocky statues not only have unusual shapes, but also magical colors. Day 4: Bokonbayevo, Kyrgyzstan to Jety - Oguz, Kyrgyzstan
Breakfast. Optionally possible to have a ride on Russian military caterpillar conveyor snow and swamp-going vehicle and drive up to the mountain for the panorama view. Also optionally, you can rent a freeride skis and start the freeride skis downhill on wild pistes. The other possibility hiking with snowshoe up the valley. Optionally possible to Ski touring, cross-country ski. The snow condition in this area is 1-1,5 m deep, average temperature during the day is about 15C- 25C below zero. Dinner and Overnight stay in the yurta camp, in "Flower valley". All yurts have the heating oven. Day 5: Jety - Oguz, Kyrgyzstan to Karakol, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast transfer to Karakol. On the way stop at famous Red Rock formation “Seven Bulls” and “Broken Heart”. Lunch. A city tour in Karakol. A visit to Russian Orthodox Church and Muslim Mosque in Dungan Style. Dinner in the family in the Uighur family. Overnight in the hotel Amir or similar. In case the date of this day will be 31 of December, in the evening celebration of the New Year with the local family. • Meals: B / L / D • Altitude during the day: beginning of day – 2250m in Jety-Oguz, in the end of day – 1750 in Karakol
Day 6: Karakol, Kyrgyzstan to Chon-Kemin, Kyrgyzstan
Breakfast. Transfer to Chon-Kemin gorge along the northern shore of Issyk-Kul lake. On the way it is possible to make stop and approach the lake. The lake does not freeze in winter time. On the way visit the “Keremet Suu” hot spring rest place. Take a thermal pools at the open air. Continue driving to Chon-Kemin upon arrival to Chon-Kemin dinner and accommodation in the Family Guesthouse • Meals: B / L / D • Altitude during the day: beginning of day – 1700 m in Karakol, in the end of day- 1850m in Chon-Kemin
Day 7: Chon-Kemin, Kyrgyzstan
After breakfast full day in Chon-Kemin. Hiking up to panorama view. Or optionally horse riding or getting fun on a horse sledge. In case the date of this day will be 31 of December, in the evening celebration of the New Year with the Kyrgyz family. Dinner and Overnight in the Family Guesthouse • Meals: B / L / D • Altitude during the day: 1850m in Chon-Kemin
Day 8: Chon-Kemin, Kyrgyzstan to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Breakfast. Transfer to Bishkek (160 km). On the way a visit to Burana Tower (XI century). Free time in Bishkek. Farewell dinner in the local restaurant. Overnight in the hotel • Meals: B / L / D • Altitude during the day: beginning of day – 1850m in Chon-Kemin, in the end of day – 800 m in Bishkek
Day 9: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Manas International Airport, Kyrgyzstan
Transfer to airport for a flight home. • Meals: B / - / -
