Discover Martvili and Samegrelo with a local host who knows the region beyond the usual tourist stops. This private experience combines some of Martvili’s best-known sights with beautiful waterfalls, rivers, local history, and Megrelian culture.
Visit the famous Martvili Canyon, explore Kaghu and Tsachkhuru waterfalls, and discover the historic Salkhino Dadiani Residence. Along the way, enjoy the green landscapes, villages, and rivers that make this part of western Georgia so special.
We will also stop for a traditional Megrelian meal, giving you the chance to try local dishes and experience one of Georgia’s most distinctive regional cuisines. Food is paid separately so that you can choose according to your preferences.
This experience is ideal for couples, families, friends, and small groups who prefer a relaxed and personal way of exploring rather than a large group tour. With a maximum of four guests, there is plenty of time for photos, short walks, enjoying nature, and discovering Samegrelo at a comfortable pace.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Kutaisi International Airport (KUT), Zeda Bashi, Georgia to Martvili, Georgia
Start the day with pickup from your accommodation in Kutaisi or Martvili and travel through the green countryside of Samegrelo in a private Toyota RAV4 2017 limited. Our first main stop is Martvili Canyon, where you can explore the walking trails and enjoy views of the turquoise Abasha River. An optional boat ride is available when weather and water conditions allow. We then continue deeper into the Martvili area to visit the historic Salkhino Dadiani Residence, once used by the Dadiani princely family, before discovering two beautiful local nature spots - Tsachkhuru Waterfall and Kaghu Waterfall. Along the way, we will have time for short walks, photographs, riverside stops, and enjoying the peaceful landscapes of Samegrelo. During the day, we will stop for a traditional Megrelian lunch at a local restaurant. Food and drinks are not included in the tour price, so you can choose what you would like to try. This is a private experience for a maximum of four guests, so the pace is relaxed and flexible. Depending on the season, weather, and local conditions, the order of the stops may change slightly. At the end of the day, you will be dropped back at your accommodation in Kutaisi or Martvili.

Private transportation in a Toyota RAV4 for up to 4 guests, with a local host/driver throughout the day. Fuel and pickup and drop-off from your accommodation in Kutaisi or Martvili are included. The itinerary is private and flexible, allowing time for photos, short walks, and stops along the way. Mobile Wi-Fi is available in the vehicle where network coverage allows.
Entrance fees to attractions and any optional activities, including the Martvili Canyon boat ride, are not included. Lunch, additional food and drinks, and personal expenses are also paid separately.

What to know
Please wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking on natural and sometimes uneven surfaces, and bring clothing appropriate for the weather. During warmer months, you may also bring swimwear and a towel if you would like to enjoy the river or waterfall areas where conditions allow. Some outdoor activities, including the Martvili Canyon boat ride, depend on weather and water conditions. For safety, the order of stops or individual nature locations may occasionally be adjusted. The tour is private for a maximum of 4 guests. If you have any dietary preferences or food allergies, please let your host know in advance so we can choose a suitable place for the Megrelian lunch.
