My name is Alishan Mirzazada, but you can call me Ali. I’m founder and general manager of this small family business, but you can always see me guiding people on the field. This is because I love my job. I started as a solo tour guide in 2015 and the only reason of choosing this profession was my passion of meeting new people, making new friends and travelling. Your main stop, Shamaki Safari Park, which is the biggest safari park of the Caucasus, established in 2017. Since the summer of 2022, the park’s aim is not only to protect the wildlife of the Caucasus, but also to show them to visitors. The modern Shamakhi Safari Park covers an area of over 1,000 hectares in the high-mountain area of Pirgulu and is home to more than 1,000 wild animals brought over from different countries. Here, you have every chance of meeting and even photographing red deer, Altai wapiti, mouflon, alpaca, bison and yak in their natural habitat. Your tour at Shamakhi Safari Park will last more than 2 hours. Later you will be having the chance of experiencing Lahic Village, which is a notable place in Azerbaijan with its authentic handicrafts traditions, particularly related to copper. Our English speaking driver will take you in the morning from Baku, from your hotel. You will be visiting Gobustan rock art and Gobustan mud volcanoes during the fist half of the day. after the Gobustan part, our driver will take you to Shirvan National Park. Alishan is the owner of the agency that provided us with the driver and booked the hotels. Alishan was very professional and quick in responding to organizational issues. The driver assigned to us was a nice person, a good driver, good knowledge of English, but unsuitable for tourist services. He never considered stopping for lunch - even a quick one - at midday. We always had to ask for a break ourselves. He also tended to take us to the hotel at 4 in the afternoon, thus hastily ending the day. The point is that almost all the hotels were outside the towns and so we found ourselves unable to do anything else until the evening. All this obviously cannot be blamed on Alishan but on the driver himself.
