I am Ami and I am a host based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
I am originally from a herder family in Zavkhan Province, about 800 kilometres from the capital, and I was a little nomad until I moved to Ulaanbaatar in the early 2000s. I completed both my general and higher education in Ulaanbaatar, earning a degree in International Management, and later continued my master’s studies in Economics and Management in Budapest, Hungary.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work in different management & coordination roles both in Mongolia and abroad, including Administration, Executive Assistance, Event Coordination, Artist & Gallery Management, and Partnership Collaborations. I also lived in Budapest for 3 years and in Venice for 6 months, which gave me the opportunity to experience different cultures and connect with people from many parts of the world.
Today, I curate and lead journeys across Mongolia, from the timeless Gobi Desert to endless Central steppes to the rugged landscapes of the West and the pristine wilderness of the North.
I was born in a Mongolian ger on the open steppe and grew up surrounded by our traditions, nomadic heritage, wide-open landscapes, and stories & indiginous knowledge passed down through generations. These are the things I deeply value about my country and my identity, and I love sharing them with others.
I’ve also always loved travelling and exploring, meeting people from different backgrounds, learning about their cultures, and spending time in nature. That’s one of the reasons I enjoy working in tourism so much because it brings everything I love together.
For me, leading and coordinating tours is not just about showing beautiful destinations. It's more about helping travellers to have a meaningful and enriching experience in Mongolia and to feel a genuine connection with our land, culture, and people.
My background is not only in tours. I’m also passionate about art and creativity, and have worked with artists, galleries, exhibitions, music videos, and film festival. Bringing all these worlds together, I coordinate regular journeys across Mongolia while also creating more authentic and niche experiences, including tours that blend travel, art, and tradition.

Into The Frozen North: Khuvsgul Lake, Jargant River, Ar Bosgot Canyon, And Taiga
Starts in Ulaanbaatar, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Into the Frozen North is a 5-night, 6-day winter escape to Northern Mongolia, a region known for its taiga, Khuvsgul Lake, and the Dukha (reindeer-herding) community.
This is one of the coldest parts of Mongolia, with temperatures sometimes reaching -40°C in winter. Winter changes this part of Mongolia completely. The rivers freeze, the valleys turn white, the mountains become even more dramatic, and everything becomes very quiet. It is cold, remote, and sometimes challenging, but that is also what makes the journey special.
The drive through Khuvsgul takes us across the wide Darkhad Valley and through the Khoridol Saridag Mountains. We will stop by the unfrozen Jargant River and visit Ar Bosgot Canyon before continuing through the northern villages of Ulaan-Uul and Renchinlkhumbe, and deeper into the taiga.
This is a trip for those who want to experience Northern Mongolia in its real winter, its wide valleys, frozen landscapes, mountains, rivers, villages and the quiet life of the far north.

The Mongolian Gobi - Up Close
Starts in Ulaanbaatar, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
We’ll visit the most scenic destinations of the Gobi such as Tsagaan Suvarga, Yolyn Am, Khongoryn Els, Bayanzag, and Baga Gazriin Chuluu, with plenty of time to enjoy each place along the way. We’ll also ride camels, try traditional Mongolian food, meet local people, and stay in comfortable ger camps.
There will be some long drives, but travelling through Mongolia is also about the journey. The scenery keeps changing, and there’s always something interesting to see along the way.

Zavkhan - A Journey Into My Beautiful Homeland
Starts in Ulaanbaatar, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
I was born into a nomadic herder family in Zavkhan province which brings together Mongolia’s diverse ecological zones combining mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, and golden sands.
I lived as a nomad in my homeland until I was 8 years old and many of my nomadic relatives still live there as nomads. When I was little, I spent my days swimming in the river, sunbathig, chasing herds, listening to my wise old grandma's tales, playing with my siblings and cousins, helping with little nomadic duties to my parents, and just wandering around the fairytale like valleys and mountains of my beautiful Zavkhan land. Everytime I visit back my homeland and recall my childhood memories, I feel like my homeland is an eternity, an existing paradise.
As livestock is the backbone of Mongolia and most important cultural heritage to us, I am very much proud of this culture and I deeply respect and treasure nomadic herders in Mongolia. I am also so grateful for having many herder relatives.
My homeland is home to the majestic Otgontenger Mountain, the snow-capped sacred peak of the Khangai Mountains, as well as the peaceful Ulaagchin Khar Lake, a clear freshwater lake surrounded by the semi-desert landscapes of Erdenekhairkhan soum. The vast golden dunes of Mongol Els, the largest sand dune system in Mongolia and many big rivers such as Ider, Tes, Zavkhan, and Mukhart rivers flow through the land.
I created this journey to invite travellers into my beautiful homeland, meet my nomadic relatives, and experience the simple, authentic life of Mongolian herders. This trip includes beautiful destinations and special cultural activities such as traditional cooking class, mini concert by locals, traditional craft making, and calligraphy workshop.

Wild North Through My Eyes: Khuvsgul & Taiga

I have a deep connection to the land of Khuvsgul and its people. This deep into Khuvsgul tour has always been such a unique, eye-opening, and an enriching experience for me. I want to offer this such off-road, remote, and culturally distinct tour to wild North to my travellers too. While the travel on road is exhausting, the experience is deeply fullfilling.
This tour includes visit to Khuvsgul lake, connection to Darkhad & Dukha community in North, cultural activities, and sightseeing to the most picturisque destinations of Northern Mongolia including Ar Bosgot Canyon, Jargant River, Tsagaannuur (White Lake), Boshloi Rock in Bayanzurkh soum and Erkhel Lake.
Darkhad: A Mongolian ethnic group traditionally living in the Darkhad Valley. They are known for livestock herding, hunting, and strong shamanic traditions.
Dukha (Tsaatan): A small Turkic-speaking reindeer-herding community living in the forests near the Mongolian–Russian border. Reindeer are central to their transportation, livelihood, and cultural identity.

On this journey, you’ll visit Elsen Tasarkhai, often called the “Mini Gobi”—a beautiful stretch of golden sand dunes surrounded by green steppes and rocky mountains, offering a glimpse of Mongolia’s diverse landscapes in one place. You’ll also explore Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire and one of Mongolia’s most important historical and cultural sites.
In the Mini Gobi, you’ll stay with a local nomadic family, make traditional Mongolian dumplings together, and have the chance to experience everyday nomadic life and Mongolian culture in a warm and personal way.
