Akshat was an excellent guide and made my trip to Mangystau such a memorable experience. He genuinely looks after you throughout the whole trip and makes sure you’re comfortable, safe, and enjoying every moment.
He knows the area really well and takes you to some of the best and most spectacular spots. He was also very helpful with taking photos and making sure I got to experience the landscapes from the best viewpoints.
One thing I really enjoyed was the option to get drone footage for an additional cost, which was absolutely worth considering if you want some amazing aerial memories of your trip.
Overall, I highly recommend him if you’re planning a trip to Mangystau. He’s knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely cares about giving you a great experience. Definitely book with him if you want to see the best of Mangystau!

We had an amazing two-day tour around Mangystau with Yerkhan as our driver and guide. From the very beginning, everything was organised smoothly and professionally, which made the trip completely stress-free.
Yerkhan was incredibly friendly, caring, and easy to get along with. He shared a lot of interesting information about the history and significance of the places we visited, which made the experience much more meaningful. By the end of the two days, he genuinely felt more like a friend than just a driver.
The itinerary put together by the tour operator was excellent, with a great mix of sights and enough time to properly enjoy each location. The food throughout the tour was also very good, and I especially appreciated how accommodating they were with my vegetarian diet.
The vehicle was comfortable for the long drives, and Yerkhan always made sure we were looked after. He also knew all the best photo spots and was happy to stop whenever we wanted pictures, which helped us come away with some incredible memories of Mangystau.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the region. Thank you to Yerkhan and Askhat for such a fantastic experience.

The driver provided by Askhat is excellent. Although he only speaks basic english, we can communicate well by online tranlsation tool (just rmb to download offline google translate before and you will be good. Hes experienced and professional. The quality of car and driving skills can absolutely handle the tough road situation of mangystau. The camp was comfy with shower water. Food was provided and the quality is good (have hot food). 100% recommend

Askhat is a super nice tour organizer. He helped me even before the tour starts when I found serious trouble with my shoes. I just asked him about a shoe store near my hotel to buy a new pair. Then he said he would come to my hotel and take me to a shoe store. I was able to purchase a nice pair of shoes at the second shop he took me. If it hadn’t been for him, my days in Mangystau would have been ruined.
As for the tour, I took two day trips with his drivers, ( different driver each day), and both were really good.The first day I was with only a drive, who was very helpful and attentive. The second day, I had a company and guide too. Everything went smooth and comfortable even though the second day was a long day. I highly recommend Askhat to anyone who wants to explore Mangystau.

While the trip itself is absolutely worth doing as the scenery is out of this world, unfortunately we had multiple issues with the driver/guide that’s Askhat provided. The biggest issues were:
Food - food was extremely basic given the cost of the tour. On day 1 and day 4 we asked for lunch around 1 pm on both occasions the driver told us we would get lunch at the next stop… we didn’t end up eating until 5pm. Another day we were taken to the lunch spot at 10:30am, 2 hours after having breakfast and weren’t provided any more food until dinner that night. The biggest issue came on our last night when our guide simply did not offer us dinner, we came back from a walk and found the driver sitting and drinking with another group of tourists. At one point he even offered the other tourists some snacks and juice… he didn’t even make eye contact with us and we got nothing. We went to bed hungry. We had also been told earlier that day we were running low on food (despite the driver making multiple stops and markets to buy beer and cigarettes)
Water - we were provided bottled water throughout the trip, however on day 4 the driver offered us a camp shower with a pop up tent. We asked if there was enough water and we were assured there was. Us (the 2 guests) were given 2.5 litres each to shower, this came from a 5l bottled mineral water (which is why we asked if we had enough to drink the following day) Then the driver showered, using a full 5l for himself. We got to camp that night and were a bit suspicious because we couldn’t see anymore water in the car. The next morning (we still had a full day left in the desert) we asked about the water again and were told there was a 20l reserve that he had filled up at home using a tap, we had been told not to drink tap water and asked our driver for advice… he simply shrugged and said “it’s fine for me to drink, up to you if you want to drink it.” After the tour we talked to another local who was extremely shocked as the tap water is not drinkable especially for tourists.
Gear - almost everything was fine in terms of gear except that the guide forgot to pack pillows for us. I also think that blow up mattresses would be a better and more comfortable option. We almost always had to get the chairs out from the car ourselves, and there is no awning on the car or a gazebo - that meant that the driver was always using the table as wind protection to cook there was also no sun protection.
Itinerary - we happened to start the trip after an unusual heavy rainfall which ended up effecting the trip- obviously we don’t blame the driver for this but it lead to a series of events that weren’t handled well. We got stuck in the mud on the first day and the engine overheated, snapping the belt of the air conditioning. The driver became obsessed with finding a replacement, and we made multiple stops to do so but couldn’t. That meant on the 3rd day he got his family in aktau to go to the market and send it to us by car. The market didn’t open until 10am and it would take at least 2.5hr in a taxi to reach us. We asked multiple times if we could do something while we waited and the driver had no suggestion, eventually he said on the way we could stop and explore the town - when we got to the town we found it was just the market that we had stopped at the previous day… the driver bought more alcohol here and then we left. We did nothing this day until arriving at our camp-spot around 5pm - it was incredibly disappointing, poorly handled as the driver could have adapted the itinerary or at least tried to provide one small activity, and wasted our time and money.
Communication - the driver/guide didn’t really tell us anything about where we were or what was special about the places. In fact on the way we met 2 different tour guides travelling with other groups who checked in on us and asked us if we knew anything about the location we were in, when we said “no” they were extremely kind and offered some information - it became clear just what we were missing out on.
Professionalism - throughout the tour the guide drank a lot in the evenings, smoked in the car (he did ask us if it was ok but we felt obliged) he also forgot to buy cigarettes and was often asking us to give him some. But the worst part was that starting from day 2 the guide told us it wasn’t worth being out there and constantly suggesting we go back to Aktau early where we could pay his friends for a boat ride “for a fee” while not providing the service we had already paid (quite a bit for) we had to tell him that no - we wanted to stay and camp. Also the last day the music was very loud in the car we asked him to turn it down and he did… for a moment… he then began turning the volume back up slowly until it was at the previous volume when we asked again he responded “fine I will turn it off” we then rode back to aktau in silence for 3 hours.
