Atrau is a certified guide based in Almaty, working across Kazakhstan and into Kyrgyzstan. He has been on the platform since 2020 and leads trips himself, guiding and driving personally in his own 4x4 SUV, while also working with other guides and drivers for larger or multi-route trips.
His range covers Almaty's surrounding nature: Charyn Canyon, Kolsay and Kaindy lakes, Altyn Emel, Big Almaty Lake, and longer overland routes to the Aral Sea, the Mangystau plateau (Bozzhira, Sherkala, Torysh), and across the border to Karakol and Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan. He also offers city tours of Almaty, horseback riding trips, transfers, and a few niche outings such as birdwatching and wildlife spotting.
He speaks French, English, Russian and Kazakh, and several of his tours are built specifically for French-speaking travelers. In his messages he works out routes and timing in detail, naming the exact vehicle he will use, realistic driving times, and what is or is not feasible in a day, and he is direct with travelers when a request does not fit the time or budget available.
