The Gobi landscape is incredibly diverse - from twisting, red sandstone canyons waiting to be explored, to geologically significant mountain ranges. It is bursting with wildlife and warm, nomadic people with strong cultural traditions. It has so much more to offer than the standard tourist route provides. So, if you are not time poor, and have a spirit for adventure and discovery, Boogii is the guide for you. As a Gobi woman, she is invested in providing great cultural experiences, knows the Gobi animals, and has many helpful community connections. Like driver/guide, Muugii, a very experienced, knowledgeable and fun loving guy. Together, they tailored a Gobi experience that catered to my areas of interest. And, as they got to know me better, they discussed ways to modify and enhance the itinerary so I would get the best possible experience. The result was powerful. I feel a strong pull to return to the Gobi, and a deep respect for the people who call it home. Boogii might be terrified of reptiles and takes for ever to drink a beer ;) , but her English is excellent, and she genuinely cares if her clients enjoy visiting her homeland.

We booked a 3-day Gobi tour through Indy Guide with Boogii in 05/2024. Great value for money. A driver who made us feel very safe in the desert. She was always available by phone to clarify things. Wonderful trip experience with Boogii, her team and her services! I highly recommend it! As she is very well connected with the locals, she will be able to offer a truly authentic cultural experience! I told her I was interested in learning more about the traditional music in Mongolia, and by the next day, I was in the house of a local musician learning how to play the horsehead fiddle! Really miss her and Mongolia! Am hoping to visit again some day soon, hopefully to the Gobi area this time! :)
