Absolutely terrible driver - he ruined our trip, would not recommend. If I knew the trip would be like this, I would have chosen to not go at all rather than go and have this driver. Throughout the entire 3-day trip, he constantly tried to get more money from us. Here are examples: - My trip request was initially 4 days including Altyn-Emel National Park, and he said 550 Euros. We then decided not to do Altyn-Emel and do 3 days, and he said 450 Euros and I confirmed this is the trip we wanted to do. However, when he met us, he said 550 Euros and I didn't realize until we were on our way that we had agreed on a lower the price. We told him and he disagreed, even after showing him on the app - He kept trying to convince us to do Bear Waterfall (even in messaging before the trip) when in my trip request, I said Kairak Waterfall. He constantly tried to convince us to do Bear Waterfall because Bear Waterfall is only 1 hour while Kairak is 4 hours - he wanted to us to do Bear Waterfall so he wouldn't have to wait as long. - At the end of day 1, he received a message from Indyguide saying I need to pay a deposit. I was about to pay Indyguide 10% on the morning of day 2, and before doing so, we told him we'd pay 90% in cash to him. He insisted on us paying 100% in cash to him because the price was already low. I didn't want to deal with him so I asked Indyguide to handle it. - When having lunch, he ordered a pot of tea for the table without asking if any of us wanted any, and then when it was time to pay, he expected us to pay for it. - At Kolsay Lake, he told us 2 hours. We wanted to do the hike from Kolsay Lake 1 to Kolsay Lake 2, and we thought that would take 4 hours. We told him that, and he said no, 2 hours or we pay more because Kolsay Lake 2 wasn't in the original list. What?! We're not asking him to drive to additional places. On top of that, it was 12:30PM at that time, and that was the last item on our list for the day. We had to argue with him about it, and in the end, we just went and did as we pleased without giving him more money. It was ridiculous and he ruined the hike for us. Aside from constantly trying to money grab from us, he would dictate at each stop how much time we get. I provided a list of places before the trip, and we were not asking him to drive us to more places - he doesn't get to tell us how long we get at a place. He used to work at a tour company, so he's probably used to telling people how long they have in places - he needs to realize that being a driver is not the same as that. When we went to Kaindy Lake, he told us we had 30 minutes. We wanted more, but he insisted 30 mins. On the way down, he finally explained that if we drive all the way to the lake, we can only stay for 30 mins, but if we hiked up, we could stay as long as we want. He never gave us the choice, just dictated that we could have 30 mins. We all had a terrible time due to the constant mental energy needed to tell him we wanted more time and arguing about money. This driver clearly doesn't care about the quality of service he provides or how his clients are enjoying the trip - he cares only about money. Find another driver, there are so many available.
