I was very fortunate to have Egenberdi as guide and driver during my hectic tour in Kyrgyzstan and Kazkhstan. He is patient, has a good command in English Russian and Turkish, drives safely and gives good advices about places. I will always remember our nice conversations on various topics during our long drives. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to visit these two countries.

We had so much fun with Egenberdi! He knows the country inside out, including every hidden corner, and showed us countless beautiful places we would never have discovered on our own. He accommodated all our wishes—from an eagle hunting show and horseback riding in the mountains to relaxing in hot springs, staying in a yurt by Song Kul Lake, and eating at wonderful local restaurants. I booked the tour with Egenber 7 months in advance and sent several messages confirming it over the months. Of course, I booked it because of the reviews on his profile. To my surprise, two days before the tour was set to begin, Egenberdi messaged me saying he couldn't go—without further explanation—and that he would be handing the tour over to his brother. What upset me the most was the fact that he never asked me how it was going. So, Egenberdi, I’m writing a review for the driver, Ulugbek. Ulugbek was fantastic from start to finish. He had a nice car and was very attentive; he bought food for us and wouldn't let us pay for his meals, and he even gave us chocolate when the trip ended. There was also another detail: my arrangement with Egenberdi was to be dropped off in Almaty, but Ulugbek dropped me at the border instead, where another driver was waiting on the other side. Ulugbek noticed I was upset by the situation and did everything he could to put me at ease. He kept waving from the border to show he was still there, making sure we were okay. He sent several messages to my husband during the five-hour journey and only felt at peace once we confirmed we had reached our destination. I highly recommend the driver Ulugbek—choose him if possible. Another point: Ulugbek made a real effort to show us everything possible, taking me to more places than expected and took lots of photos and videos of us, always very willingly

We did a 6D5N tour with our guide Egenberdi, and it was an unforgettable experience. He drove safely throughout the trip and led us to hidden gems with beautiful scenery. He took us to many spots without crowds of tourists — you can tell he truly wants to show visitors all the beautiful landscapes his country has to offer. He is also very kind and sometimes accompanied us to the scenic spots himself. He introduced us to sea buckthorn, which was a nice local touch. The accommodation he arranged was good value for money — we especially loved the yurt camp and the vibe at Song Kol Lake, and the food was great too. Before the trip, we had only planned to visit Altyn Arashan, so we booked 2 nights of accommodation ourselves, plus flight tickets from Karakol to Bishkek. Egenberdi helped us arrange the UAZ 4x4 to Arashan and even gave us small tips about horse riding. If we ever return, I would book nothing and just trust him with everything. Maybe I'd visit Bishkek first, then follow the tour all the way to Almaty. He communicates well in English and is very friendly. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to travel to Kyrgyzstan!

We spent 10 days travelling through Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan with Egenberdi and it was one of the most memorable trips we've ever taken. The standout moment was Ala-Kul lake. The hike up is demanding but the views and the colour of the water at the top are unlike anything we'd seen before. Worth every step! Song-Kol was another highlight. The yurt camp hosts were incredibly hospitable and the yurts themselves were far cosier than we expected at that altitude. Falling asleep to complete silence and waking up to that landscape is something we'll remember for a long time. What made the whole experience work was Egenberdi himself. He was flexible when we wanted to change plans, genuinely fun to spend time with over 10 days, and clearly knew the country and its landscapes inside out. Travelling with a local guide who actually cares makes an enormous difference. Would recommend Egenberdi without hesitation, and IndyGuide made it easy to find him!

We had an amazing experience with our driver and tour guide through Kyrgyzstan🇰🇬 and Kazakistan🇰🇿. He was kind, reliable, genuine and always in a great mood. Egenberdi was a lovely man with a great sense of humour that kept us laughing a lot. An excellent driver and we felt safe and in good hands. We wanted a driver not so much a guide though so he did not tell us much about things but got us from A to B on time which is really what we asked for. His english is manageable but would have been easier if it was better. He took us to good places to eat and made sure we could stop for loo breaks as needed. A nice car with plenty of space. We enjoyed our tour.

My week with Egen was truly invaluable and something that I will cherish forever. This might sound exagerrated but I (and my travel buddies) really had a blast with Egen. He is a kind, helpful and clever person, who is always interesting to have a conversation with. While some may not value this as much as I do, but Egen is also a fantastic drivers. I was in desperate need of a guide and driver at short notice as the one I had originally booked 5months ago had let me down. I found Egenberdi from Indy guide within 2 days and the communication was clear and precise and cost was reasonable compared to other quotes I received. I am grateful to Egenberdi as I had booked driver and Guide for a while 5 days and I never felt uncomfortable in fact I had a great experience and part of this was due to my hosts incredible patience and good sense of humour. I never felt rushed while hiking in fact I was going my own pace and Host never once complained. Egenberdi also was very helpful and carried camping gear etc honestly I am happy as from the Pick up from airport to the last day drop off bck to Bishkek we had such an amazing experience and I felt safe and would definitely book same host again for any future tours as the convenience of having driver and Guide all in one is such a bonus. I have others enquiring too as I shared my experiences with my fellow colleagues on my further travels and they were interested. I provided them with Indy Guide website and the name of my host so they too can book and have similar experience. I would also like to mention that my hosts English was extremely good and we had no issues communicating he is also a safe driver.
