About Elchin
My full name is Elchin Ismayilov.I was born in Baku in 1975. I am still live in Baku and I work as an English/Russian/Turkish speaking guide for last 20 years. I have vast experience with arranging all touristic services including all type of guiding tours (cultural, trekking and etc.), transportations, accommodations in hotels or in family houses, airport transfers, hotels accommodations or accommodations in family houses). Yet barely three hours’ drive away lies an entirely different world: timeless villages clad in lush orchards from which shepherd tracks lead into the soaring high Caucasus mountains. Where Baku is multilingual and go-ahead, the provinces shuffle to the gently paced click of nard (backgammon) on tree-shaded teahouse terraces: women stay home, herds of cattle wander aimlessly across highways, and potbellied bureaucrats scratch their heads in confusion on finding that an outsider has wandered into their territory. Fascinating Azerbaijan has an incredible wealth of scenic contrasts, is famous for caviar and carpets and has curiosities from bizarre mud volcanoes to perpetually-burning fire temples. With amazingly varied landscapes that encompass painted deserts, vineyards, orchards, oak woodlands, snow-capped peaks, iron-wood forests, hilltop castles and magnificent canyons Azerbaijan clearly has a bright tourist potential. But as yet just a few westerners seem to ever heard about the country and can vaguely imagine its approximate location. Visiting Azerbaijan without doubt will be an absolutely new experience to you. In many areas you may still be among the first foreign visitors locals have seen in generations. Explore Azerbaijan - the Europe's last tourist dark territory and make the most of this beautiful, varied and under-estimated land

Elchin is the best guide we have ever had! It all went so smoothly in terms of planning, tailoring on-the-go and keeping smiles on our faces all the time. What Elchin impressed us with the most, was his real love to his country, people, nature, cultural heritage and he was eager to make us feel that way, which he succeeded. He made little hearty surprises to the group and even when the traffic (due to F1 in Baku) slowed our progress, he thought it all out so that we missed nothing. What else would you expect from a man, who was known to (almost) all Azerbaijani :) Our only regret was that we had him as our guide for only 3 of our 6-days trip. Thank you once again, Elchin!
