I just returned from an extraordinary 4 days tour in Turkmenistan. Entering the country from Farap border (coming from Bukhara) I met my guide CHARY who helped us with all border issues. He had already been very helpful in the weeks before my arrival answering very quick to all the queries I sent to him. We started the itinerary and Chary became more than just a simple tour guide. Comunication in English was very easy (he’s got a very good level) and his knowledge about his country is enormous. We kept great dialogues during the 4 days. He adapted anything to our suggestions and we adapted our desires to his suggestions as well. We were a bit skeptic about going on a fixed tour (as we always travel on our own), but or final conclusion is Chary was an excellent guide (and person). Don’t wanna forget mentioning the professional drivers we had and the cars we used in such horrible roads!!! Finally, I just want to recommend anyone asking for Chary and go to visit Turkmenistan, no doubt.
